Scott Van Penile enlargment goes beaver on us too?

The UM Hurricanes are the most hated team in football, by far. I love it that way. Time to take back what is rightfully ours. So when we are Champs we can crap on everyone.

And ESPN is horrible. Leader of the hate pack. Who cares what they think. Just thump App store.

Sports reporting is no longer about giving the public the facts and letting them sort out their own opinions. It's about entertainment value now. Everyone has a hot take. Everyone has an opinion on everything. Picking Miami over Appy hardly moves the needle on the entertainment scale. Everyone wants to pick the underdog. That's the flavor pick. Picking little ole Appy state tugs at the heart strings and gets peoples' attention. It's got nothing to do with whether they deserve to be respected more than Miami. Until Miami shows that they're willing and capable of pounding teams like this every single time they play, they're not going to get the benefit of the doubt because it has no entertainment value.

Sports has ALWAYS been about entertainment. Sports reporters have ALWAYS played favorites. That's what gets ratings and readers--the gripping story of the underdog versus the big bad one-time powerhouse.

This is nothing new.

UM has always been, and will always be, one of the most hated teams in America. The press had a large hand in making that image from the very beginning.
