Scott Frost should be next in the chopping block

Frost built what everyone is jumping around drooling about down there at UCF with Heupel.

Frost recruited those guys and installed that offense.

MUCH bigger rebuild. Terrible recruiting and talent on that team. True freshman QB with zero depth behind him, so taking away his legs was a big part of his game. Harder to fix because of the location and not having fertile recruiting grounds to quickly pull from.

One thing I can say, is Frost has a under-manned Purdue team to add to his short term legacy. And Diaz, naturally, has Georgia Tech. :ttdg2m10mxvzxan.jpg: At least Nebraska lost on the road in front of 20,000 or so Purdue fans. Ouch.

Because the biggest mistake Frost didn't do was cutting loose his defensive staff that was with him at UCF. He cannot lose to a Purdue team without it's starting QB and Rondale Moore.

Frost took them from 0-12 to 13-0 in 2 years. 2 years! With many of the same players.

Nobody can make this call until Heupel does it with his own roster in a few years. Even then, he would have done it recruiting after 13-0 season.....and not 0-12.

Too bad you DON'T mention that the VAST MAJORITY of those players were holdover's from the previous head coach/staff. Akin to what Stoops inherited when he took over Boomer Sooner. Those players were the previous HC recruited players.

Well he did, didn't he! Which in my ignorant opinion says Scotty Boy is OVERRATED! And dig this too. Nebraska will be NO BETTER than a .500 team next season. Yikes.

Unless he learns from it and cuts ties, putting his personal relationships to the side for the benefit of the program.

If he doesn't, even Big Red will eventually turn on him after enough time and bad losses. My buddy is a bigtime Husker fan, so as bad as Miami has been i've always had the comfort in knowing i could bust on him just as much.

Nebraska needed to strip it down to the studs after the last guy. Frost is the favorite son...if I were them he'd have a 5 year runway to get it built back up.

Frost had one year recruiting, those were mostly O'Leary's players. Frost did do a good job, but don't twist it.

Heupel has been there two years now and he is playing a true freshman at qb. They're sitting pretty good, no drop off from Frost.

Big difference, among several: Willie said FSU was ready to win right away last season. Frost said Nebraska was a total rebuild. Different expectations.

Not twisting it at all. I said those were the same players that Frost won with. That's proof it was coaching/system that took them to 13-0.

What i'm saying is Frost put that program where it's at, put that offense where it's at, and then recruited for 2 years. Even when he left to Nebraska, he recruited that incoming class for almost a year before he left, not Heupel. Heupel may have had a hand in it but that was Frost's program/recruits.

Heupel is now winning with those same players and a few of his personal recruits, like Gabriel. If he can maintain and not see things slip, then it's a more apples to apples comparison. It's no different than when Coker took over Butch's recruits and won. He looked great for a bit but did not maintain and was exposed.

You're giving Frost too much credit. UCF was hardly a dumpster fire. O'Leary was burned out and quit

UCF's prior record.
2012. 10-4
2014 12-1
2014 9-5
2015 0-8

Again not saying Frost didn't do a good job, but the foundation was there. And yes time will tell if Heupel is the real deal, but so far so good for them.

I believe this board is addicted to firing coaches.
Since Manny has done enough to keep itself afloat we went looking around to find another at the other side of the country to fire.

Simply amazing.

2 years ago fire Rumph because the Plantation boys bounced
Last year was the offensive staff
This year is the whole staff.

Not saying we don't have good points, but let's acknowledge our blood lust.

Firing coaches and hyping up our talent is genuinely the only thing CIS knows how to do or responds to.

Go a week finding new ways to say that our coaches are dog **** and you’ll get 25x more likes than actually saying something substantial.

Sorry I’m not seeing it.
