Players should be allowed to transfer anywhere w/out sitting out a year
The absolute chaos that would cause would probably ruin the sport.

They have a terrible academic reputation, and I don't see them bringing eyeballs due to the fractured allegiances in the state.
Their games vs USF & Memphis broke ratings records for ABC, I'm certain the South Florida TV market had something to do with it.
I was rooting for em', allegiances ain't that serious.

It was better than the previous year, but it was also on Black Friday and the only other game on was NM St vs San Diego st, not a whole lot to chose from.
All I know if every single time UCF has a decent season everybody wants to start talking about them taking off...here they come, etc., etc.
Losing Frost, though no fault of their own, was brutal IMO.

I feel bad for those ucf players man that sucks
I think he will be good at Nebraska but that is harsh to all his players at ucf
What do y'all think?
He took those kids from 0-12 to 12-0. That's worth something. I've been saying for a while UCF could be a sleeping giant in state of FL. If they can sustain some momentum in their program they'll get picked up by a major conference. They have a ton of resources.
The real question is what do they bring to the table? They have a terrible academic reputation, and I don't see them bringing eyeballs due to the fractured allegiances in the state. UCF probably suffers the worst from kids that go there, but are CFB fans of one of the three big programs. If they can't get into a major conference they'll never be more than they are right now.
If they hadn't lost Frost they may have been able to go on a Boise St. a few years back type run.

Are you referring to UCF or Nebraska? UCF has had a pretty good run on academic reputation and their engineering program is considered not far behind UF at this point.

I said their games vs USF & Memphis, not just the Memphis game. And we were also on that day, wouldn't be surprised if their ratings blew ours out.
Not your dads Neb, gonna be yard to win there compared to 20 years ago, look at Jimmy H at Mich
What does Harbaugh's failures have to do with Frost?
It's hard to win everywhere, but Frost is going back to Nebraska at a potentially good time to do so. Their previous AD was arguably one of the worst in college football. I can't speak to how good their new AD will be, but it's hard to image that he could be worse than the last one. Nebraska is a football crazy state, and they LOVE the Cornhuskers. Frost knows what Nebraska is. And he'll build bridges to the high school coaches. He'll push for better facilities and get them. I can't say they'll be back in title contention, but they'll beat the Arkansas States of the world and be a much better team than they have been recently.
And his taking his whole staff tells you what he thinks of those coaches.

Maybe true but they’re ranked around 180+.

That would kill college football.
Do you really wanna come on here after the season concerned that Richards is considering transferring to Alabama or Oklahoma to play with Baker Mayfield? We already gotta deal with the bagman and flaky recruits in recruiting.. I ain't tryna deal with flaky *** players who have potential but wanna leave because they didn't get the ball enough or because Alabama or some SEC school is throwing money their way because I promise you that would happen.
I do think players should be allowed to transfer w/o sitting if their coach resigns or is fired. That is understandable because most players go to a school usually went there because of the head coach or a assistant coach. Not to mention, the new coach is already trying to push them out anyways.
The new HC should be allowed to sign whatever number they need to get to 84/85.
