Yea I’m done with this conference and officiating. Today was awful. I prefer playing in the SEC. The Big 10 is boring

I hate the B1G for football. It’s mostly boring football and I don’t think their refs are a huge improvement. I think it’s the ACC 2.0 but I get it, the research money and cooperation is massive and that matters to UM. And for the people who want to take issue and are already slurping that conference, I know it’s better money and optics than the ACC. I don’t care.

I was at the game and blew a gasket both over the Mali Heisman catch, his other TD, and the unsportsmanlike on Lightfoot.

I’ve never been a vocal complainer regarding bad officiating, but today was beyond the pale. You’ve got your marquee team playing against a bunch of scrubs, and they’re protecting the scrubs with horrific calls.

This just makes the conference look like they are keeping it real against Miami, in an insignificant game where their calls meant nothing. It was stat padding for them.

In no way should they have robbed Mali of that catch that way. That was harmful to the conference if they care about Heisman talk for their players and it was just ridiculous. I’m done. We should take Nike money and leave if we can immediately, even go independent for now.

Is there video of Lightfoot's block on the return? They clearly called it Unnecessary Roughness and not a Crackback block. The only penalty should be Crackback block. If the QB did not want to get hit - he should have stayed his punk a** on the ground.....

Mario needs to go full Saban and start going through headsets. One it sends a message to the officials but it also sends one to your own players.

Yep. Cignetti carries on like a lunatic and has no problem bad mouthing the officials at the half or at the post game presser. He said they missed calls after the game yesterday. Said it was a hip drop tackle that hurt his RB and multiple late hits out of bounds.

But I do think, with the bridge that has been crossed by the ACC openly lobbying against Miami, Clemson, FSU and whoever else wants to leave, Miami’s admin should put a video together to call this out.

You can call a penalty on every single play against someone and use the same justification you just gave. Doesn’t change a thing about what occurred in any normal context. Same with Lightfoot’s penalty.

They’re all merging together There was one call where the qb got hit around the waste area as he released the ball and they called it. It wasn’t late or low. There was another where the qb tried to tackle the runner on a turnover return and he was legit leveled trying to make the tackle and they called an unnecessary roughness. It’s a joke.
