Scholarship players

Okay, so Richt is playing with 27% fewer than the 85 max. Without knowing what everyone else is playing with, it's misleading. Every program has redshirts, injuries, and guys who just aren't good enough to play. Every program loses guys to attrition (academics, team rules, NCAA violations, disciplinary). So, yeah, Richt is playing with 27% below the max of 85. I don't see it as all that unusual. Sorry, but the OP makes it sound like an excuse. I don't buy it.

You won't find another P5 team playing with so few scholarship players. It's nowhere close to "usual". Usual would be having 75 or more available. There's a huge difference between our numbers and the "usual".
Without a source for the numbers, you can't possibly know that. And, as far as I know, no one lists their guys who "aren't good enough to play".

We got a couple guys back for ND, but for VT, we only had 65 players available. That's 24% below the max allowed and doesn't factor in kids that aren't good enough. We were missing 20 players due to sanction, eligibility, and injury.

Miami's numbers are not in question. The question was whether anyone has the numbers for all P5 programs. That's the only way to see if UM's numbers are unusual.

BTW, the ACC limits travel squads to 72.
