His alleged ties to us weren't strong enough to take a job before.

He has a career. 504 winning percentage in a conference worse than the ACC.
68-67. Which caused a GOOD defense ratings to swell against bad competition.

Please give me concrete evidence as to an upgrade.

Thats is careecareer 6-6 AVERAGE W/L ratio. The definition of AVERAGE.

NO major bowl wins. Cut the crap.
Schiano=Golden
No thank you.

I think that he would be an upgrade over Golden. He is a decent X's and O's guy as far as I can tell. He recruited well at Rutgers, he can sell his (bad) NFL experience.

I wouldn't eat my shoe if they hired him but im all in on Butch.

Pete Carroll wasn't all that good is first time in the NFL. And Rutgers was crap before Schiano got there. In any case he has actually beaten teams worth something. Miles better than Golden, no comparison. Sorry Golden slurpees

I would like the hire, he's affordable, and the defense will be way better. It's all about who he hires as OC that matters mostly. He needs to get good coaches to help him out.

College coaches have a hard time transitioning to the NFL. I won't hold the Buccaners thing against him. He's proven on the college level and he knows Miami. He can recruit and his teams will be ready to play every week.
