Scheme and system matter.....

LOL. Hurts looks similar to what he’s always looked like. He’s just in a really great system right now that doesn’t ask him to sit in the pocket and make a bunch of reads.
Did Alabama ask him to really do much his first 2 years? He was a 60% passer those years and 2017 and 18 jumped to 70%

These systems are a 1-2 read system that uses smoke and mirrors. Majority time there’s one read then a backup read , this is why these qbs normally all look good in these systems. Easy , quick throws in big windows. Then eventually hit the big one.

Facts. By the 3rd and 4th read that qb is being sack or flush out of the pocket.

Sad thing is, Jarren, Tate, and N’Kosi would ALL excel in that type of system.

Swap Fields and Fromm and you will see the same thing.

And I will say Hurts looks way better as a passer after sitting a year under Enos (not that I'm a fan of what Enos is doing here) than he did when he got benched for Tua.

you're comparing Hurts under Penos to Hurts under arguably the best offensive mind in CFB? lolwut?
