Not that it would make a difference, but the coaches could at least cave/adapt by offering Rodrick Archer and Jalen Julius.

On-field results, not stubbornness, will likely be the reason we're going to lose our two best commits. But they could at least try something instead of sitting idly by while FSU and UF cherry pick whoever they want from us. Again.
 
those that haven't followed Pete from the beginning, let me let you in on the guy.

he don't make **** up for hits
he waits till it is confirmed
recruits do sometimes say **** and do something different.

It is all part of the process. This should be for your enjoyment of the process only, and anything said or done shouldn't be taken for 100% fact till the ink is on the LOI, and it is received by the institution. The only differences with Pete (and those on staff here) and the other sites insiders are:
1. the don't make **** up to get hits or subscribers. (This site is free).
2. they don't do it for the money (they aren't paid)
3. they don't hide info or **** for fear of reprisals from institutions (they don't have credentials)
4. they have been more correct on every thing that has came out of the site since its inception (mainly due to reason 1-3)

anyone taking shots at them can gladly go pay the other sites for less information that turns out to be less correct to drum up subscriptions or be held hostage for lack of information due to threats from the institutions to pull credentials due to putting out the truth.

FSU's been playing Scarlett for a while. They've been telling anyone that will listen that the kid is desperate to go there and they are stringing him along until they figure out what's going to happen with the top of their board. It's sad, and I'd be pretty ****ed if I was Scarlett, but what can you do.

The sad part is they can get away with doing it because they're the defending national champs who will qualify for the inaugural playoff while our program sinks further into irrelevance by the day. Miami prioritized Scarlett from Day 1 and let him know he was our #1 target at RB while FSU apparently made it clear his offer wasn't committable since they landed their top two targets (Frasier and Patrick).

But we're likely going to lose another stud from our own backyard when/if Frasier bolts to stay closer to home. If there was an actual coaching staff in place that could prevent what we've seen the past six quarters -- and most of what we've seen for the past 4 years -- we wouldn't lose guys like Scarlett.
 
The only thing that will prevent either one of these guys from coming here is if Duke stays and he ain't... Both will get a decent amount of PT next year...
 
Embarrassingly disappointing season, paired with a laughably bad recruiting class.

At least Al Golden is consistent. He said to himself "this year, this year I wanna really suck. I'm talking all the way around. I just want to be the biggest loser possible, and fail at every aspect of my job," and by God if he didn't set a goal and achieve it.

Good for him.

Why waste your future knowing this staff will ruin you? I love my alma mater, but in the big picture, if we're going to suck anyway, why bring down talented kids with us?

It was expected the heat would turn up for those two. Let's see how this shakes out.

Need to hold on to both of them.


Had a gut feeling too that UF would come back in the hunt for Dexter if they fired Muschamp. Has some local and family pressure on him. Miami staff gotta stay on him every possible given day.

As for Scarlett, I for one was never a believer that they would pass on him. They know he's elite, all that crap was just talk. Anyone really think in their right mind they wouldn't want him?

NSD A little over 2 months away.... I do think Dexter being an EE plays another factor here. Scarlett the connection to Miami with Beard.

Yeah they have been very pro Canes. It doesn't guarantee anything yet.

The UVA loss hurt us in many ways. Despite the frustration of the FSU loss, it was in a positive light. UVA loss was big negative.

I was very confident we would land these two after the FSU game and before the UVA game. My tune has changed since Saturdays **** show.

I say 50% chance on our chances of them being Canes. Flip a coin and see how the next few weeks play out.
 
As long as golden is here this stuff will continue so at this point who cares. The beauty of south Florida is there is always another cycle of studs. But until we can the head coach we will continue to lose out on top players

Yea, like they ruined Duke. You can still have individual success on a ****** team
 
Miami Hurricane football is over & done with. I hate to say it it kills me but we're dond. Enjoy coach L thats the only piece of positive advice one can give.
 
I thought Beard was our ace in the hole with Scarlett and Bruce. Is that no longer true?
