Scariest Article Yet (RE: Richt and Offense)

His decision to suddenly insert Bauta against their biggest rival is likely what got him fired. It showed almost an unbelievable disregard for the importance of the UF game. And Bauta was very clearly unprepared to succeed on that stage. Giant head scratcher.
This is mostly true.

I'm not sure that Bauta was entirely unprepared, but he was clearly overmatched in every sense of the word. He had barely taken a snap, even in garbage time, prior to that game...and Richt left him in to flail around for the entire game. It was painful to watch and I lost a lot of respect for Richt putting Bauta through that.

It's crazy how parallel the stuff being posted in here mirrors what happened last year when Evan Sherieffs was inserted in the 4th quarter of a still winnable game....while we were STILL undefeated.

Dementia is a mother ******.

you seriously think that would fix everything ? please go sit in the shade for a while and repeat this until you get it ......

Miami will NOT be elite again until Mork is GONE ! ..... Then go have a cold beer !
Agreed but he said it 2 years ago.

LOL. prescription is still the same. cause Mork is still here.
The problem with Richt's brain was apparent in year 1 when he wouldn't adjust his offense to be able to get production from the guys with the skill sets he had - QB, OL... He's had time to recruit his players and it's even worse. Throw on top of that the position corch hires... And I've really developed a dislike for him.

well said. RVA

after 15 years of nothing spectacular, Georgia fired Mork's *** and why would Miami hire him immediately and expect anything to be different ? that boggles the mind.

the standard disclaimer for a mutual fund manager does not apply to football coaches.

you can bet your *** that for a football coach past performance IS indicative of future results.

Yeah, regrettably, I was one of those who thought it would be different here...but I did see the offense and refusal to make adjustments issue early and called him a "dawgshît" playcaller early in year 1. Unfortunately, it was way worse than I ever imagined.
