A friend of mine's son (Brandon Watson - Mich commit) plays for Elkton Christian and they played Champagnat Catholic tonight in Middletown, DE.
For those not familiar with Elkton Christian, they are a virtual school with a very talented football team. Their star from last year was Kenny Bigelow a top 10 player nationally who is at USC. Their QB David Sills (2015) committed to USC in 8th grade. In my opinion, the best player on the field was their Wr/db Freddie Canteen (Mich commit)

In Travonte's and Champagnat's defense:
- they drove approximately 20 hrs to the game
- just got their pads yesterday
- were at the stadium at 3pm to find out the kickoff was moved to 7pm.
The game was tied early at 6-6, but then Elkton wore them down and won 40-6. I was told that Elkton destroyed Don Bosco recently in a scrimmage. At the beginning of the game, Travonte was playing exclusively at DT wearing #99. He switched his number to 75 and started playing RT on offense as well. With Elkton's spread offense it was difficult for Valentine to have an impact on the game. Early in the game he showed some excellent explosiveness, but as the game wore on he was noticeably tired. He looked pretty good as a run blocker at RT as well. Michael Johnson did not have much impact on the game either.
I talked to one of the parents and they said Travonte is a good kid, he recently lost 20 lbs, and is making very good progress in the classroom (A & B in summer classes). Also one of the coaches indicated that they will have a few more players transferring in this week including a DL from Africa that supposedly has tremendous upside.
