Save your banner money — Manny will get 3 yrs anyways

Why dont we start a crowdfund for better coaching salaries instead of flying banners? Good coaches are going to command higher salaries. If not that we need to do whatever teams like Appalachian St are doing finding these good young coaches.

Short of a scandal Manny is getting 3 years minimum from UM.

Golden got 3

Shanon got 3

There’s ZERO chance in **** UM fires a hometown Cubano and son of longtime Miami Mayor before 3 years or without a major scandal erupting.

Save CIS blog space, your hard earned money and time talking banners or firings.
This isn’t about firing manny, this about 15 years of incompetence where a guy like manny who's never been a head coach before can become a head coach of a 5 time national championship program. Which is ludicrous! Smh Fine manny is gonna get three years, but people have to held accountable for even promoting a green horn like him before he’s proven himself somewhere else, like Temple for example! And serious talk, if manny is fired in 3 years do you really want Blake and that horrifying looking Strawley making the choice on our next coach? **** no!!! So if anyone wants to make sure incompetent bums like James and Strawley never again hire us a coach that has no business coaching here then donate to this and put these bums on notice!

I just refuse to believe that even our administration is THAT incompetent. In 3 years Manny will have a roster full of 2 and 3 stars and we'll be viewing Duke as a rival with FSU the "standard" to catch.

This can't happen. Period. We have to raise ****.

If we finish with the worst record since Lou Saban, then he will ******* not get 3 years. Esp with banners.
If that happens, I imagine the administration will try to make a statement of support followed by a public outcry followed by his dismissal.

I’d rather burn money on banners than merch and tickets
I plan to wash and put away all my Canes gear this weekend. It and my checkbook aren't coming out again until the administration shows me a little love. This relationship has been one way for far too long.

No way he gets fired at 5-7. Not even at my prediction (please prove me wrong EoS) of 2-10 or whatever. Worst case scenario, assistants get thrown under the bus, along with players and fans EoS. He gets at least 2 years, then your case might apply.

If he decides to get the brass balls and refuse to make mass changes on the staff after going 5-7 or worse the administration would have no choice. They can’t afford to lose anymore season ticket holders. Let’s hope this scenario of 5-7 or worse doesn’t happen

If anyone thinks they will then hire a competent AD or coach, you haven't been paying attention.

There is no definitive answer. Times have changed. The UM fans have changed. No fanbase is waiting 3 years anymore especially if the first year was an absolute mess. (I.E., losing season) Not even in the NFL do coaches get a guaranteed 3 years no matter what. (Looking at you Brian Flores) With that said, here is how I see it playing out.

5-7: Hes fired or forced to resign with a fair buyout compromise especially if he refuses to fire his entire staff.

6-6 or 7-5: One year leash. Diaz would have to show vast improvement in year 2 to not be let go after the season.

7-5 or better: Will be afforded the full 3 years to right the ship even if the fans don't think he deserves it.
If you are not rooting for a 2-10 season, you're a Shalala slurper

As I've posted before, Alabama Week 1 of 2021 is Manny's Clemson game. If/when we lose 48-10 or something, he does not make it through the season.

They aren't going to cut a coach that Miami payed $4 million to Temple. Dude will get a minimum of four years IMO.
Even if we fire Manny, you're not getting to the root of the problem. Firing the coach and getting a new guy is simply throwing a fresh coat of paint on a wall with serious structural deficiencies. The problem is deeper. You need to lay the foundation and that starts with the A.D. Let Manny do his thing. Maybe we get lucky, but if he's strikes out, then you have the right system in place to pick the right guy next time.
