Short of a scandal Manny is getting 3 years minimum from UM.

Golden got 3

Shanon got 3

There’s ZERO chance in **** UM fires a hometown Cubano and son of longtime Miami Mayor before 3 years or without a major scandal erupting.

Save CIS blog space, your hard earned money and time talking banners or firings.

I have become so apathetic at this point that I don't even care. I will never root for losses, but for the first time in decades, they mean nothing and it didn't even ruin my mood on Saturday because I legitimately EXPECT to lose now.
 
I think there’s a lot of truth in what you’re saying about the political dynamics here but they’re not flying a banner to fire Manny, they’re going after the AD and crew.

That said, irreparable damage is being done to the brand putting this product and display of absolute corchery on the field.

I feel you man... it sucks to suck right now.
 
There is no definitive answer. Times have changed. The UM fans have changed. No fanbase is waiting 3 years anymore especially if the first year was an absolute mess. (I.E., losing season) Not even in the NFL do coaches get a guaranteed 3 years no matter what. (Looking at you Brian Flores) With that said, here is how I see it playing out.

5-7: Hes fired or forced to resign with a fair buyout compromise especially if he refuses to fire his entire staff.

6-6 or 7-5: One year leash. Diaz would have to show vast improvement in year 2 to not be let go after the season.

7-5 or better: Will be afforded the full 3 years to right the ship even if the fans don't think he deserves it.

At this point 5 - 7 is the best scenario for this team. I think we get two more wins in Louisville and FIU and finish 4 - 8. You would think schools would learn by now that a Buy out for an un proven coach shouldn't be attached but .....

Its pretty sad but I feel the same way. It used to ruin my weekend...now it is what it is...apathy at its best. I remember when I went to the U if we lost 1 game the season was a failure and sh$t show.

This mo fo needs to start NKosi!!! Let him get a little redemption against UVA for last year.

No way he gets fired at 5-7. Not even at my prediction (please prove me wrong EoS) of 2-10 or whatever. Worst case scenario, assistants get thrown under the bus, along with players and fans EoS. He gets at least 2 years, then your case might apply.

Sorry, I like you, but not happening. 4-8 is merciful. I hope I’m wrong, but I do not see it.
