Just me and the wife. Flying into Fort Worth. We are staying at the Sheraton Arlington hotel.

Arlington can be cosiia dump. Dallas Frisco and FtWorth would be worth the trip for sporty fun atmosphere.

Any good places to watch the Saturday afternoon games in the Ft. Worth/Stockyards - we have a large group doing dinner at Lonesome Dove but wanted to get drinks and watch the end of the 3:30 games.

For those visiting texas for first time some must do are eating BBQ and steak.

Top BBQ places:
Ft. Worth- Heim
Dallas-Pecan Lodge

Steak Places:
Bobs (One of the best steaks in nation, locations in Dallas and Fort Worth, be prepared to drop a bill though)
Ruth Chris
Del Frisco's Double Eagle steak house

Other Restaurants/Bars to check out:
Dallas-Wheel house
Fort Worth Reata (roof top bar overlooks down town)
Dallas Uptown-Crush Craft (Great after hours spot for Asian Fusion food)

For Families or Dates
Kylde Warren Park (have food trucks ect, Dallas' version of central park)
Fort Worth Zoo
Dallas Aquarium
Ranger Game
Six Flags
Six Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza

Maverick's is where the big canes group will be. Canes Wear will have a table with gear to sell there also. They have already decorated with all canes stuff all over the windows and inside.

Is it a good spot to hang out most of Saturday just watching games there. My dad and I are flying up Friday night, planned on doing the 6th floor museum Saturday morning. Wanted a good spot to hang out all day after that and watch the games. Thanks

I was undecided between that museum and taking a vip tour if the stadium.

Its a little further but 7th street or Downtown Fort Worth are probably your best options. On 7th the Reservoir is pretty good even though the douche bag owner switched off ACCCG in the final quarter to watch a UFC fight. Fox and Hound in Downtown is an another option.

Not sure, I am not from the area. I am going by what has been posted in the FB Canes groups I am in.

We’ve got a group going to the ranger game on Saturday. Any bars you’d recommend in the area for before or after the game?

I would check out Texas Live. Its a brand new $250 million dollar venue started by big time investors. There is also Sherlock for a little more low key flavor.

Got reservations for Pappas Bros Friday evening, you didn't mention that for your recommendation on Steak. Mistake in your opinion? Yay or Nay? Also was looking at Lockhart for BBQ, But Pecan Lodge just grabbed some momentum. Thanks for taking time to help out the travelers

Also forgot to mention another must do is have Mexican Food. Lots of Taco Joints around town.

Taco Places:
Velvet (fusion taco's)- in DFW
Torchys (gourmet taco's) in DFW (one next to stadium)

Mexican:
Rio Mumbo's
Cheuy's
Javiers-dallas (cigar place with really good Mexican)
