30 years ago a mustang and a vette were racing on US1 and had a similar fatal accident. I had raced on the way home from school more than a few times and I was old enough to know better.

Life gives us all wake up calls.

What annoys me about this entire conversation is that so many of the Shedeur fans know absolutely NOTHING about any of this and run to conspiracy theories to justify what is easily explainable. We see this in the Angel Reese fanbase as well, which has destroyed what was once a very lively basketball centric conversation around the WNBA.

It's exhausting as **** and honestly, it's insulting to people like Cam Ward, who are, in effect, being called Uncle Toms because they went before Shedeur. Shedeur isn't a terrible player, no one is saying that, but what is being said, which is borne out by film is that he's not an elite talent, he fits perfectly alongside a lot of other career backups, who were very good in college. The one thing that has changed in the NFL over the last 15 years is that Shedeur now has a legit shot to develop and be a career backup, which wasn't the case once upon a time. If you were a Black QB, either you had to be a star, or you weren't on the roster, that has changed. Guys like Geno Smith, Tyrod Taylor, and even Jameis Winston are now able to make big time backup money, because they fully embraced the role. In fact, Geno was such a solid backup, he was able to stay in the league long enough to get another shot at being a full time starter.

Thats the one where the Vette got cut in half right? I know that happened with a Ferrari also. That's just the little we know about.

I won't necessarily say hes GOING TO BE a career back up. I will say his skills RIGHT NOW are on par with someone on that path. But this is where he has a chance to prove if he's simply benefitted from the deion sanders hype machine or if he's genuinely a football player who wants to get better and is willing to put in the work. I'm curious how this will shake out. He's gonna make the team in all likelihood because his presence in 2025 Cleveland helps draw media and sells tickets. As of now it's not about if he's actually good enough to win games. It's about the distorted groupies and their agendas. But if he can separate himself from all that bull**** and just learn the game for once he's got a shot to become a starter a couple years down the line. Considering it's Cleveland and the **** show that has occurred with deshawn and his contract, he might get the chance to play sooner rather than later. Would be real unfortunate for him if so. A trial by fire won't shake out well. The sad **** is I have numerous boys on Cleveland and each and every one of them has said Dillion Gabriel is far more advanced then him and has had a far better camp but you don't see word one said about Gabriel with all the attention going shadeurs way.

I think he's their best option at QB and should be QB1. If he doesn't start the season, whenever he takes over, he won't give up the spot.

I know - but a tears thread is usually named after the team/group crying. This thread is named Sanders Tears but none of the Sanders family is crying, only the Deion haters, so I can rename it now or I can wait for Shedeur to succeed and watch them spin it and then rename it but it shouldn’t be called sanders tears if sanders isn’t the one crying. What says you, name change now or later?
