Sanders Tears

A “Sanders Tears” thread on a canes board is crazy lol
What's crazy is the number of posters sticking up for the son of our main rival's most well known and influential player in its history, who along with his son, handled this draft process like a couple of snotty divas that thought they were running the show.

What's crazier is posters on a Canes board attributing the satisfaction of watching these clowns fall on their face to racism and a distaste for "uppity" players. We were the poster childs for that **** and called it swag. I know the country is in a tough place in regards to this type of thing, but this is not it. Not here.

Some no name SC anchor was demanding answers as to why he fell…imagine if they did some actual reporting how different the narrative would be.

Any sane person knows he didn't deserve to get drafted in the first and didn't deserve any of the playing time he actually got.
Exactly. Just like Sanders, the media couldn’t get Tebow’s junk out of their mouth and hyped him up to something he wasn’t. That dumb *** Josh McDaniels fell for it and was stupid enough to draft him in the first round.

Hey, both Tebow and Sanders were awesome college qb’s. Both are hard workers, intelligent, and winners. But, they have average arms and you need an elite arm, or at least very good to be a high draft pick in the NFL. I don’t even know if Tebow had an average arm. Either way, Sanders arm isn’t that good either, maybe more like Ken Dorsey’s. I didn’t see the media *****ing and moaning when Dorsey wasn’t drafted early.

Sorry, I can't get past the Son-of-a-Nole thingie.
I realize Shadeur didn't play at that school and his dad is not actively working at his "alma-mater", but the garnet and gold DNA persists, and this is a school that traditionally defec8ted on our tombstone when we were perceived to be dead. Additionally, if this wasn't enough to celebrate what occurred to the Sanders' duo, I found the ESPN narrative to be annoying and disingenuous. Another collective of loud-mouthed jerks who have hated on our program for decades.
To me this was the underlying issue with most of the Cane fans rejoicing in this 8 car accident, not racism which I think may be the case with some of the other fan bases.
I don't wish any personal or even career misfortune on the Sanders' family, but I also won't join the other Cane zombies in slurping their bathwater. But then again, we have Cane fans who adore and mimick the work of Dan LeBatard who is an actual colostomy bag.
We have a weird collection of fans.

The bigger question I have is for the Cleveland Browns - Who in their right mind thinks it’s a good idea to take two RB’s and two QB’s in the first 5 rounds of the draft? No franchise has done this in the modern era. Why? Because it’s stupid. Amateur hour continues in Cleveland…

part of the hate is due to how espn handled it - they forced the conversation down viewers throats and in the process failed to highlight over guys who got picked. Deions kids seem like good kids overall. theyre confident and have been successful. nothing wrong with that. it looks like whoever was advising them (maybe Deion) misplayed the interview and pre draft process completely. the interview stuff was very real and it hurt him a lot.

Nothing crazy about it at all.

It's a true statement & there's hundreds of comments in this very thread that prove it.

Miami fans are not special or separate from the rest of the country. We have just as many people with the same viewpoints as fans of teams like Bama, Ole Miss, UGA, etc..

If the shoe doesn't fit, then it obviously doesn't apply to you. But to say there are no Miami fans who don't have or haven't displayed a prejudice disdain for Shedeur that goes beyond the pale is disingenuous & inaccurate.

Shedeur hasn't done anything to receive the hate & vitriol he gets, particularly from this fanbase. Maybe if this was Colorado ST insight it could be justified, but there's no logical reason why Miami fans are gathered around the tree in such a way for a player who's guilty of the crime of self-confidence.

I just pointed out the unspoken element out loud.

If it's not true, then we'll see it play out again next season & there should be a brand new QB for the group to burn in effigy. We should see the same vitriol & fervor for some random QB on a random team that we have no rivalry with & don't play.

Comes with the territory of being the son of a “legendary” player. If you can’t handle the heat, stay out the kitchen. Additionally, his father added fuel to that heat with the constant hype (see retiring his Jersey #).
