Sanders Tears

I don't really follow this stuff anymore and just kind of stumbled across him not being selected yet.

The NFL has through the years, given all kinds of **** ups, drama queens, holdouts, divas, PR nightmares, convicted criminals, etc a chance. Many had far less talent than he does.

Who did what or WTF did this dude or even pops do to make this fall happen? I'm trying to find a comparison and I can't think of one.

Spending less time on this team or sport, but was wondering if anyone knew the deal. Crazy. ****, I didn't even know the draft was happening until about an hour ago.

At some point the reality is most teams just don’t think he’s that good. Everyone knows QB is the most important position in all of sports and teams are desperate to find their franchise guy. If someone thought he could be that guy they for sure would’ve drafted him by now even with the baggage.

I am starting to think that the NFL got an advance warning that $$ is about to move to El Salvador…….

Not sure this is really a new theory, but maybe there’s something to the “doesn’t love football” part of it. There was talk earlier about Marv Marinovich and pressure that athlete fathers can put on their sons, and I see it just in my 7-year old son’s peers and their dads sometimes. It’s so unfortunate.

Then on the other end of the spectrum, you have a guy like Cam, who is salivating to get the playbook and get to work. I’ve interviewed and hired enough people in my career, and it’s pretty easy to tell when someone is genuine. Of course not everyone is like Cam, but you want someone who wants to be there and knows why there are there.

Honestly, what games do some of you watch??

He claims they had no run game but they averaged 4.2 YPC

He claimed his OLine was horrible but when you watch his games he constantly sacks himself with hero ball.

He can’t throw with zip past 30 yards

GMs and coaches have to worry about the show behind the kid

If he goes to a place where he has to learn and the starter has a bad game then you have to worry about Neon Deion running to Twitter to cry about how Shedeur is better and how everyone should be fired

He treated the Draft process like a joke and acted like they were recruiting him instead of drafting him according to a multitude of reports

The Sanders family literally have nobody to blame but themselves.

Where did this word come from? It’s hard for me to believe a guy that played behind arguably a top 10 worst OL in FBS that threw for 4100+ yrds on 74% completion is not a hard worker.

Oooooooor could it be that a kid who came blinged out, that has a bank account **** near equivalent to the HC he’ll be playing for doesn’t like that he’s a brash guy that speaks his mind. It could be that teams feel that he’s been coddled by his father, & have taken umbrage to the fact he said it’s a travesty he wasn’t included in the Heisman race.

It’s funny that Eli Manning’s father told teams not to bother attempting to draft his son or he wouldn’t play was deemed as heroism, but a kid who says he don’t care where he plays b/c he’s a winner (even though his father once said he’s concerned w the right fit for his son) is demonized.

There’s certain things that r unspoken at certain levels, & Shedeur fits the criteria of “you don’t seem humble enough to be grateful for this opportunity.” Certain brass don’t like those types, & I’m not being caping…I literally just got off the phone w my partner who’s the agent for Jeanty.

U see, narratives r rarely ever true; they’re just guise to distract from the truth. When I hear off field issues, I think:
-Drugs
-DUIs
-DVs
-Skipping Practice/Team Meetings
-Baby Mama Drama
-Arrest Records

Etc.

NOT he’s ****y or but his dad….
Weren't the Manning family torn to shreds by the media for picking where Eli went? Unless I'm remembering it differently, I'm sure they received a lot of backlash.

Sanders is in the same boat as Newton post-Panthers. A lot of teams simply didn't want the circus that came with him for a clipboard holder. It's one thing if he's your bonafide #1, but if you've got an established starter (or in this case with Saunders clearly most teams don't see him as a starting calibre QB out of the gate) the juice isn't worth the squeeze.

I had him down as a third round talent - so he's fallen even further than I thought he would.

Were they? B/c last I checked, Eli was picked #1 overall was he not?

My 2 cents... These GMs/HCs/OCs/QB coaches are constantly under the gun of being fired from lack of results or public perception of incompetence. If I was any of these coaches I wouldn't want to coach someone who has a dad like Deion with a giant twitter megaphone second guessing every decision I make.

"It's not Shedeur's fault - so and so didn't call the right play or he doesn't have any weapons or his oline sucks or they're teaching/coaching it wrong". F that, Shedeur is not good enough to have that hanging over my head if I was in charge of running an organization.
