Sanders Tears

It’s hilarious he hasn’t been picked yet for how ****y and confident he has been publicly.. but hard not to believe it’s collusion between the teams not to draft him 😂
I always thought he was a mid round guy. His last name created fake hype his arms avg his athleticism is below avg his football IQ no clue since he takes sacks to save completion % he’s just not that good tbh I look at him like Ian Book

Probably a good time to bump this thread and these few responses about basically this exact thing:

It appears that Shedeurs plan has backfired more than he thought it would. I think he likely viewed his floor as Round 3 if it went horribly. I don't think he'd have viewed sliding out of the 1st round as that surprising given his interviews.

And the more being talked about this isn't BS annonymous interviews that people are just making **** up about him. It seems pretty highly sourced that Shedeur absolutely bombed the Giants interview. And when the Giants are one of 5 teams that was likely heavily considering you on day 1 or 2 (Giants, Browns, Steelers, Saints, Seahawks - Not Titans cause they were always taking Cam), well you may have shot yourself in the foot when there were 2 other QBs viewed as on your tier level but maybe graded slightly higher or lower - Dart and Milroe, and all it takes is one to have Shough high.... well You play with fire, sometimes you get burned. You pushed the Giants to Dart. Milroe was always viewed as having the higher ceiling. If you turned the Browns off from you too, well they went for Gabriel.

I absolutely believe that Shedeur did NOT want to be drafted by the Giants or the Browns. Probably not the Jets either, though maybe since they got Aaron Glenn that could be different. I believe he wanted to go to the Raiders 100%, but we traded for Geno. Maybe he desired the Saints. From there IMO his best options were Rams, Seahawks, and Steelers - as far as what was the best for his actual long-term starting potential imo. Now the only teams that I can even see drafting a QB that he'd have any shot at starting for in the next 2-3 years are Raiders (could still get him late as backup), Steelers, Rams, and I do still think Browns will take another QB.

I'm going to be the **** in the punch bowl.

The feeling of schadenfreude that most of us are enjoying right now is essentially what Miami haters have been bathing in for 20 years. Overhyped, over-confident, flashy- then taking a huge faceplant.

Also, I can't help but feel a little icky piling on Shedeur at this point. Even if (well, especially if) the immaturity and entitlement rumors are true... Imagine that you grew up with Deion Sanders as your father.

I really don't understand what people don't get.

1. There have been multiple reports that in interviews with NFL execs, Shedeur has come off as selfish, too good to be asked questions about his game, showing attitude, a finger pointer, etc.

Just look alone at what McShay reported happened with the Giants. There is a reason going into the NFL combine Cam and Shadeur were considered 1A and 1B, and Cam left the clear cut #1 QB. Reports were that Shedeur rubbed people wrong during the interview process.

2. Shedeur is nowhere near as good as some make him out to be. Many point to his accuracy as his strongest suit. How hard is it to be accurate when almost 60% of your passes are within 5 yards of the line of scrimmage? That's what the data shows. He has an average arm per NFL starter standards, long release, takes unnecessary sacks playing hero ball far to often, and doesn't provide a whole lot of escapability. Nothing about his game screams a 1st or even 2nd round QB. Someone mentioned earlier, but he is a 3rd round talent.

3. Playing the most important position in all of sports, you are expected to be a leader. Your team is supposed to gravitate towards you. By all accounts, Shadeur does not show the necessary leadership skills you want in your QB, and being a finger pointer to boot is a horrible trait in a QB. There is a reason so many people are saying he is not a locker room guy.

4. After the Titans, Giants, Saints and Browns passed on him and drafted QBs, the only spot left for Shadeur to go where he has a chance to play early is Pittsburgh and they also passed on him in the 3rd. Meaning wherever he ends up, he is at best a backup. The combination of his attitude issues, with his dads bull****, who in the NFL wants to deal with those distractions for a guy that is going to hold a clipboard? The second that teams starter has a bad game, Deion is going to run to social media or the press and call out that organization for not giving his son a shot. Who wants to deal with that?

Simply put, the Sanders fam did this to themselves and the NFL is telling everyone the juice simply isn't worth the squeeze.

At this point, I’d be even less inclined to draft him because the 4th round pick isn’t likely to start anytime soon…and that won’t sit well with dad.

At this point, the Sanders family will be resentful at ANY team that takes Shedeur, as EVERY team has had multiple chances to take him, and then passed.

Can't think of another athlete in the world that would be celebrated for his demise without a single blemish on his resume. Tough seeing this is where we are. Johnny Manziel was a known cokehead that was calling mfs up during the draft to tell them to draft him and he went R1.
Every report coming out is that in interviews he is a self entitled brat that interviewed horrible and hardly prepared, that stuff still matters in the real world not social media where $$$ is made by clicks, but you’re insinuating this is about race (i guess by the tough seeing this is where we are comment)because billion dollar businesses won’t hand over the keys to their franchises to someone like that. Not sure if youre in the workforce or not if you cannot connect those dots.

Then you add the media circus his Dad will bring when he doesn’t start. The media circus alone killed Tebows career who is the polar opposite of character and a locker room guy than Sanders.

Where did this word come from? It’s hard for me to believe a guy that played behind arguably a top 10 worst OL in FBS that threw for 4100+ yrds on 74% completion is not a hard worker.

Oooooooor could it be that a kid who came blinged out, that has a bank account **** near equivalent to the HC he’ll be playing for doesn’t like that he’s a brash guy that speaks his mind. It could be that teams feel that he’s been coddled by his father, & have taken umbrage to the fact he said it’s a travesty he wasn’t included in the Heisman race.

It’s funny that Eli Manning’s father told teams not to bother attempting to draft his son or he wouldn’t play was deemed as heroism, but a kid who says he don’t care where he plays b/c he’s a winner (even though his father once said he’s concerned w the right fit for his son) is demonized.

There’s certain things that r unspoken at certain levels, & Shedeur fits the criteria of “you don’t seem humble enough to be grateful for this opportunity.” Certain brass don’t like those types, & I’m not being caping…I literally just got off the phone w my partner who’s the agent for Jeanty.

U see, narratives r rarely ever true; they’re just guise to distract from the truth. When I hear off field issues, I think:
-Drugs
-DUIs
-DVs
-Skipping Practice/Team Meetings
-Baby Mama Drama
-Arrest Records

Etc.

NOT he’s ****y or but his dad….

Sir, you know I love you. But this goes well beyond "not seeming humble enough or grateful for this opportunity".

First, as to Eli Manning..."Teams" (plural) were not told to "not bother attempting to draft him". ONE TEAM was told he would not play for them. The San Diego Chargers. With that information, the Chargers were able to convert Manning into PHILIP RIVERS, NATE KAEDING, SHAWNE MERRIMAN, and ROMAN OBEN (late career). So it worked out well for everyone. I never saw any specificity of rationale or options with Shedeur.

Second, as to the "blinged out" issue, Shemar Stewart was just picked, with his Thanos bling (matching with his "father" Coach Moe).

And as to the "bank account **** near equivalent to the HC", Cam Ward was just picked.

I appreciate the fact that your partner reps Jeanty. But the draft process is a job interview that results in a multi-million dollar contract and a multi-year commitment for employment. I'm sure your partner didn't advise Ashton Jeanty to behave in a way that was disrespectful towards others and insulting of the time they spent in interviews. If Shedeur had REJECTED interviews, that would be one thing. But he actually WENT TO interviews where he treated everyone poorly, like he didn't want to be there and that they should be grateful he even showed up in the first place.

As for your thoughts on "off-field issues", you are not wrong. I would just say that anything that doesn't happen "on-field" could be described as an off-field issue. There are other things that have been cited by sources that were not listed in people's responses to you that are problematic, such as "blaming teammates" and "wanting credit for good things but not owning mistakes".

Look, you know my history, you know I haven't liked Deion since the 80s. But you can't be dismissive of "but his dad". This is not an ordinary "but his dad". This is a father who was being pursued for the Cowboys head coaching job, and is a current NCAA head coach. So Neon Deion is not just a "you should start my son already" type of parent. He is a guy who could legitimately use his power to cause problems with holdouts, he could steer his other college players away from teams, and he could make other ongoing team-undermining comments. The media will print EVERY SINGLE negative comment that Neon Deion directs towards NFL teams for the next decade when it comes to Shedeur.

This is not just one team. This is all 32 teams. All 32 teams who have each had MULTIPLE chances to select Shedeur. And at bargain-basement prices too. ****, Warren Sapp slid too, but STILL there was at least one team that wouldn't let him slide past the first round.

A player could be arrested...and learn his lesson and become a better man. You've seen all the hate directed at Ray Lewis, but has he not lived an incredible and upright life since the Super Bowl shootings?

But Neon Deion has been a disrespectful *** his entire life. Sure, he coaches now. But he still treats people he doesn't admire/respect like they are ****.

You mean to tell me the pampered entitled QB with an average arm & average speed who told coaches at the combine that he was interviewing them just as much as they were interviewing him, and who's father/coach said would only be willing to play for certain teams fell in the draft? Aren't there any teams that need a blinged out "Legendary" clipboard holder to show off on the sidelines?

This is outrageous. Someone should demand an investigation.

Revisionist history; maybe u should do a quick google search of “Archie Manning does what was in Eli Manning’s best interest.”

So then tell us what Deion Sanders wanted for Shedeur. Which teams were acceptable. Which teams were not.

Would Shedeur have played for the Tennessee Titans if he had been the #1 overall pick? OF COURSE HE WOULD HAVE.

The reality is, Shedeur/Deion NEVER SAID which teams Shedeur would not play for. It was a ****-show guessing game. Shedeur treated so many teams like crap that nobody knew which team(s) he favored.

Oh, and every single team that was "going to" take Shedeur has passed on him MULTIPLE TIMES.

The Saints. The Steelers. The Raiders. The Browns. MULTIPLE TIMES, while picking "less talented" QBs over Shedeur.

So why doesn't the Sanders family end our long national nightmare by telling the world where Shedeur is willing to play football, and then that team can use a 4th round pick on Shedeur, and we can all stop talking about this issue.

Until then, I'm going to keep laughing at the Sanders Family clown show, which now includes one of the most epic phony phone calls of all time.

He was never a 1st round qb in my opinion. 3rd is more realistic.

I don't hate him, but the racism rhetoric is lazy. Look at cam and milroe.

This is a business. No boss or employee wants someone with an overinflated ego joining their team in a position that requires leadership. Bosses who hire those people rarely succeed in the long term at building sustainable teams.

With that said, no team is passing him up in the 2nd/3rd if he was truly a top 5 talent. Regardless of baggage. Some idiotic team would have taken him if the talent was there.

He is a late 2nd/3rd round qb who is likely to go in the 4th due to baggage and his behavior during the combine
