Sure, fellas. It's a long article about Miami OL recruiting on Rivals. Here is the relevant excerpt, edited and paraphrased:

We went back and looked at the top OL classes from 2018-22 and according to the Class Calculator, here are the five best OL classes during that span:

1. 2022 Texas (7 signees): 151.09 offensive line score

2. 2020 Georgia (6 signees): 135.77 offensive line score

3. 2019 Alabama (5 signees): 122.96 offensive line score

4. 2021 Alabama (5 signees): 125.94 offensive line score

5. 2018 Georgia (5 signees): 120.49 offensive line score

Texas’ 2022 offensive line class featured two five-star signees in Devon Campbell and Kelvin Banks. In addition to those two, the Longhorns added four four-star signees in Neto Umeozulu, Malik Agbo, Cole Hutson, and Cameron Williams.

That Georgia offensive line from the 2020 class featured 5-star Broderick Jones along with 4-star Tate Ratledge, 4-star Sedrick Van Pran, and 4-star Chad Lindberg.

The 2019 Alabama offensive line class featured 5-star Evan Neal, 4-star Pierce Quick, 4-star Amari Kight, 4-star Darrian Dalcourt, and 4-star Tanner Bowles.

So what would it take for Miami to crack this group?

Let’s start add three-star Tommy Kinsler to the current commits, who is trending to Miami on the 247Sports Crystal Ball. Adding Payton Kirkland, who is a four-star that ranks No. 259 overall in the country gets Miami to a 97.30 offensive line score in the 247Sports Class Calculator.

If the Hurricanes can add 4-star Olaus Alinen, who ranks No. 123 overall in the country, according to the 247Sports Composite, Miami jumps up to 119.26 with its offensive line class calculator score.

What would the dream scenario be? Adding 5-star Samson Okunlola to the group of Alinen, Kirkland, and Kinsler to the current group of three commits. That seven-man class would feature a 247Sports Class Calculator score of 144.52 on the offensive line.


If we land all four of those guys, Texas' 2022 class is still ahead of us. But the good news is we would have dusted every other OL class in the last five years besides that one, which Texas outright bought anyway. Of course Freeling is still out there too. But I highly doubt we are taking eight guys, nor do I feel like we will have the opportunity to anyway. If we got Freeing too, so going 5/5 with a massive 8 kid class, only then would we jump Texas's class, which only had 6 kids. They wrote that Texas had 7 kids above, but only listed 6. So I went and looked at their class and I only count 6 OL.

So we would have to have a 33% bigger OL class than Texas did to jump them.

Being frank, Frankie and Tripp are dragging us down in this conversation. Being really frank, I could give a crap about all of this. Happy to have all these guys. They are Canes. I hope Frankie makes it in.

Ok if we were to drop Tripp (how dare you!) and Frankie and go 5/5 on our big targets the rest of the way, both UM and TX 2022 would have an equal six OL signees.

We would end up with a score of 140.52, which would be below their 151.09, but better than any other OL class in the last five years. And honestly, ***** these hoe rankings. I trust Mario and Alex's evals 100x over anyone working at Rivals, 247, or any of the other car washes.

But this isn't happening, we're doing great, but that's really threading the needle.

I would take Pancake Honchoalone over anyone in their 2022 class. Add Francis and it's curtains.. wouldn't trade this Line class for theirs.
