Love how he’s been playing since Bruce brown injury pretty much, that rebound he got on a missed free throw and then kicked it out to someone for a 3 was big and showed a lot of heart. Not to mention he has been excellent in making 3s

Very underrated team defender , mines feet really well for that height. Solid rebounder too.

His spacing of the court makes a huge difference , dude has a sweet stroke. Prototypical stretch four

Whattaburger has earned his minutes. We did well when him or 15 was at the 5. Huell responded well. Having him or 15 at the 5 IMO is a big improvement We were very strong on the boards today when either Sam or 15 was at the 5

Sam has been providing quality minutes. I'd still like to see him improve in his passing the ball, but I'll take it.

Sam was skilled the moment he came in, his problem was that he didn't adjust to the speed and athleticism of the game as quick as one would have hoped. He's picked up on that, and you're seeing a guy that can do a lot of things well. If he continues to develop, he can be an All-ACC guy down the line, especially when one looks at how well he defends on the perimeter, and his willingness to clean the glass. He isn't Ivan Cruz-Uceda, not by a long shot. This is a versatile stretch four.
