Here it is: I embrace 100% the QB portal movement but if unfortunately for one cycle there is not much quality and you swing and miss at all your top targets it would be nice to have at least one of the HS QB capable of playing at the level Miami wants to be/stay.

For example, picking Judd over CJ Bailey was baffling at the time and now it is a travesty.

If CJ had committed here, we would likely be in the same spot:

Had Cam and Carson and now deciding between another portal QB or going with one of the inexperienced QBs on roster: in this case, Emory, Nickel and Bailey.

So the fact we took Judd over Bailey, there is no point in arguing over that, except maybe the staff would be moving forward with him as a first year starter.

The only thing I remember about this guy during Arizona State's CFP run last year was him handing off to Skattebo.

Correct me if I’m wrong but didn’t I hear he’s going to miss all of spring due to his lisfranc injury? That’s one of the reasons I wasn’t as high on him. Sure, it worked out with Beck, but it’s not ideal and he doesn’t have the pedigree Beck did. I’d much rather have Simpson, but we’ll have to see how serious he is about going pro.

Then he left the visit and then Williams said he was returning to Washington or wherever he plays, so Kiffin then flies upto Nashville to visit him before the came down to Coral Gables, and then we make an offer too him, and he then commits to play for LSU after Kiffin gets on his knees, and this is the cat some people wanted here?? Leavitt was basically shifted aside by Kiffin and he went back to him.
