This is another thing didn't at least half of their OL hit the portal ? like frffr who advises these kids? Miami should be the simplest choice for QB right now looking to up their stock. i have faith in Mario but these kids man ... idk.I hope lsu ol gets him dumped on his head
Stupid ones who want to see them fail . He’ll get hurt by mid seasonThis is another thing didn't at least half of their OL hit the portal ? like frffr who advises these kids? I'm glad we didn't take the bait, I'm less glad that he was, as of now, our last hope.Pete said yesterday he wouldn’t trust Leavitt even if he committed
No doubt in my mind his brother would go back and keep looking for a higher offer. What a scumbag![]()
We’re in a new era of college football, what wasn’t considered traditionally normal can be entirely normal now, guys can transfer whenever they want now as opposed to in the past. as long as you are successful n making deep runs there is nothing odd about grabbing a proven portal QB to lead your program over recruiting highly rated/expensive HS guys who will almost always need time to develop or bust. Our strategy has been to grab lower rated HS guys with tools or potential and break the bank for a veteran portal guy. yall might not agree w it but we’re a week away from potentially winning championship #6 so i won’t complain.Agree but there is a space between spending millions for HS QB and Judd Anderson.
It's not normal that you can't play any of the QBs you recruited from HS at the moment.

Here it is: I embrace 100% the QB portal movement but if unfortunately for one cycle there is not much quality and you swing and miss at all your top targets it would be nice to have at least one of the HS QB capable of playing at the level Miami wants to be/stay.
Fair. I agree. Never understood the Judd Anderson take. Here it is: I embrace 100% the QB portal movement but if unfortunately for one cycle there is not much quality and you swing and miss at all your top targets it would be nice to have at least one of the HS QB capable of playing at the level Miami wants to be/stay.
For example, picking Judd over CJ Bailey was baffling at the time and now it is a travesty.

CJ wouldn’t be here still. Dude started as a freshman for a P5 program in our same division. Here it is: I embrace 100% the QB portal movement but if unfortunately for one cycle there is not much quality and you swing and miss at all your top targets it would be nice to have at least one of the HS QB capable of playing at the level Miami wants to be/stay.

Ok fair, this does not change the fact that we have two guys with 3 and 2 years in the system and according to reports none of them is viewed as a potential true starter by the staff that recruited and developed them. But that's not exactly what happened. We waited too long on CJ (not "because we had Judd") and by the time Miami was more interested, CJ had already chosen NC State.
Now that CJ is more interested in Miami, our staff has been more interested in other QBs.
Thus, Miami and CJ are just star-crossed lovers.
This is why recruits shouldn't base their decisions on hurt feels.
I won't do it because I understand your pov and I agree with you 90%.CJ wouldn’t be here still. Dude started as a freshman for a P5 program in our same division.
Also, we have been through this 2 years prior and it has worked out for us extremely well both times. We are the only team operating like this.
Do you think 99% of teams would not take back to back years of Ward and Beck?
Now if we don’t have a qb by the end of the portal then please come back on here and roast the **** out of me.
