Would be hilarious if Simpson follows the literal exact same blueprint as Beck.

Leave an SEC power after a good but disappointing year, "enter the draft", then pull your name out and transfer to Miami.

FWIW, Tennessee is really confident they have Leavitt.
I could understand losing Leavitt to LSU given Kiffin’s work with QBs, but how in the **** is it even close with Tennessee?!?

That coach is fighting for his job. I'm sure he's desperate and will throw a lot of money at him

We have $, a recent successful track record with QBs, a dominant O-Line, incredible WRs, solid RBs, playing for a natty, and these guys are overthinking this?

There’s no way this can’t get done.

If you’re going to go with the “save money by taking high upside HS projects and just focus on established stars in the transfer portal” for QB recruiting, then you can’t be outbid.

Whatever the issue the player has with with, you have to have “suck tax” money to overcome it.

“I think that your offense sucks throwing the ball compared to Tennessee’s offense.”

“That’s fine. What number is needed to overcome that concern for you?”

That’s the price for the way we recruit HS QBs. There is always a certain amount of money that will overcome all.
If you’re brining in Judd Anderson as your QB, you have to be prepared to pay it.

Interesting. Did D$ provide any color? Does he just feel less optimistic because time has passed or has is that what he's hearing from his sources?

I don't know if it's a matter of overthinking it. It's very possible that another school has a higher offer for Leavitt than what we've put out there. And it wouldn't be because we can't afford more, it may just be that is the most we're willing to offer the guy.

Regardless of what happens… I’m never falling for the “we’re gonna get it wrapped up quickly at QB”again. They got me 3 years in a row with that.

They get the benefit of the doubt but I’ve always expected our approach is going to backfire eventually.
@DMoney most of the year pushed the narrative it wasn’t gonna be like that this time. Hopefully it works out like it did the last 2 years but hate the process and sweating it out.
