On the salary cap topic, it’s my opinion that this doesn’t need to be a program cap. This needs to be a per player cap. If you cap it that no player can make more than $2mil you won’t have players jumping for paydays if they are already at the max, you also won’t have issues like this where a player is using programs to up the payday. If he had all $2mil offers he would be forced to commit to a program and not a payday.

I dont need to run a personnel department to understand the power of leverage. You would too if you stopped obsessing over other posts, and worked on some self/professional development . Read a book, take a class guy, instead of policing a message board looking for conflict.

This is rich coming from someone who thinks they know more than professionals earning millions of dollars to make these decisions.
 
No way in **** Simpson is getting $6.5M lmao.

Dante Moore is probably really what this comes down to. If he returns, Simpson is almost certainly gunna end up a 1st just from how many teams need/want QB and he'll be 2nd best available.

BUT if Dante Moore returns, there is no way we shouldn't be able to beat out Oregon for Raiola if we wanted him. Sure he may be fine sitting, but they lose their OC too. And ultimately he has 2 years to play. Sitting a year at Oregon then playing a year would be no different than like playing here 2 years. And 1 may be all thats neccessary.

I see where you’re coming from, but at the end of the day this isn’t a business where you’re trying to turn a specific profit. The cost benefit is all based on how badly the people in charge want to win football games.

IMO, there is no number (that is feasible within the budget) that a qb of Leavitt, Raiola, or Simpson’s level isn’t worth relative to the alternative of trotting Emory out there.

Ah, that's where we are different. If Emory is only costing me 500k and Leavitt wants 6 million, I'm sending Emory out there with a gasoline Snuggie...and gassing him up to get me 4 yards on a screen or hitch. :ROFLMAO:
