That's weird, because the same programs who do that still spend big on portal QBs.Worse than spending millions on a high school quarterback who probably would have transferred by now? I beg to differ.
In the past three classes, there is exactly one Top 10 HS quarterback that has worked out for the team that signed him and that is CJ Carr (Sagapolutele sorta counts). I'd rather spend that money filling out the rest of the roster.
Why I like Longstreet. 5 star talent. Wont have to deal w this bs next yearThis is not excuse-making, because Miami wanted him and thought he was coming as of Saturday.
But my personal opinion is that this kid is a disaster. Injured, inaccurate, and with red flags from here to Arizona. He would have been a bad pick.
The problem is we wanted him, and we don’t have a quarterback on January 12th. Not a good situation at the moment. Let’s see how it ends.
That's the gayest **** I've ever read.Dhdhd
Don't give us just the tip. Moreeeee
I’m not even a Leavitt guy, but yeah we’re dependent on landing one of the top QBs in the portal. That’s how Mario built this so far. Maybe we hit on a HS QB soon, but 2026 isn’t it.So not landing Leavitt is lighting the season on fire? If we have to sign the best QB in the portal every offseason to have some semblance of success we have bigger issues.
EW doesn’t win us a national championship. I’m not saying roll the dice and hope he does. But it’s not a far fetched thing to think a mid tier QB can come in here with collection of skill at key positions and win 10 games and have us competing for the ACC and CFP.
There’s always such a knee jerk reaction like we just think Mario is sitting in his office in the fetal position. Does this make things harder? Absolutely. Does it mean we should run around like the sky is falling? No. Both things can be true.
And from my viewpoint, overpaying for a QB who could very well do this exact same thing next year is poor roster management.
okay no, that's completely and utterly out of order @RVACane @PIPO @Confidence1000Dhdhd

Agree but there is a space between spending millions for HS QB and Judd Anderson.Worse than spending millions on a high school quarterback who probably would have transferred by now? I beg to differ.

For all of 3 plays before he disintegrates. Coleman has the Ethiopean refugee build.Roll with Coleman
Mario has blown this portal QB to date. This is not excuse-making, because Miami wanted him and thought he was coming as of Saturday.

This isn't true at all. Go look at the rankings and then tell me which of those teams has also spent big on a portal QB.That's weird, because the same programs who do that still spend big on portal QBs.
And those same portal QBs have a market for absolutely everyone. It's not like we're operating on an exclusive table. Contingency plans are a thing.
Roll with Coleman
