Sam Leavitt To Sign With Lane Kiffin & LSU

Hopefully this teaches the staff a lesson.

CJ Bailey probably would have jumped at any sizable offer we made. Is he as good as Leavitt or Sorsby? Maybe not. But he probably could have provided what Carson did this year.

A guaranteed B+ is better than 50/50 odds at an F-. Take the B+ next time, or at least keep him on the hook.

I don't think you understand how bad Emory is lol. I honestly would rather roll with Coleman if we go that route. Mario is going to get someone, though
I would rather roll with Nickel than an undersized true freshman who I think is a very good player, but of all the positions I wouldn't want a true freshman starting it's QB.

You really don't. You're gonna light next season on fire because of negotiations?

I don’t think NFL teams have finished their draft prep, it’s still three months away. There’s no way teams already have their boards and grades set. 1/4 of the league don't have HCs, some don’t have GMs.
His father was full of **** saying multiple teams gaven him 1RD feedback, maybe some area scout said it, but that doesn't make it so. The only real possibility is the Advisory Board gave him positive feedback, and even that is just an educated guess.
So not landing Leavitt is lighting the season on fire? If we have to sign the best QB in the portal every offseason to have some semblance of success we have bigger issues.

EW doesn’t win us a national championship. I’m not saying roll the dice and hope he does. But it’s not a far fetched thing to think a mid tier QB can come in here with collection of skill at key positions and win 10 games and have us competing for the ACC and CFP.

There’s always such a knee jerk reaction like we just think Mario is sitting in his office in the fetal position. Does this make things harder? Absolutely. Does it mean we should run around like the sky is falling? No. Both things can be true.

And from my viewpoint, overpaying for a QB who could very well do this exact same thing next year is poor roster management.

Not gonna freak out because we have seen this movie before but why do you think it is such a struggle for us to pull our first or second choice from the portal?

We've clearly had success with our portal QBs, the offensive line is solid even without Mauigoa and Bell, Dawson's offense is pretty friendly for the position.

I get that Lane is a bit of a QB whisperer, but the offensive line is going to have question marks and the skill positions are all over the map.

Money probably played a role, but for a top of the line program with a ready-made offensive line, we sure make it hard on ourselves at QB.
