Sam Bruce

These stats are concerning. I was not aware he was so unproductive for such a highly rated recruit. Is there an easy explanation for these numbers? Injury, grades?

I am not really understanding how he is so highly rated. His measurable's and the production in High School are unimpressive. Did he have an incredible junior year or something? I am not trying to knock the kid, just trying to understand why his numbers are so low.
His team is loaded. Put him on a team with less talent he gets more touches.

Everyone on that team has no low stats. Google. Including Grimes who is 6'5" and the #1 WR next year.

So essentially he is a role player as a senior on his HS team. I still want him obviously and I trust the evals of the guys on this board who are high on him, but it seems like mostly projection at this point. I hope to get him, but production like that makes me question if all this fuss is warranted.

Did he really only have 43 catches for 427 yards for an average of 9.3 ypc with 4 TD's? That is pretty bad production.

Some how the human joystick as some people like to call him managed to gain 3 yards less per catch than the average high school player in America. Your average Joe will get you 12 ypc, Sam will get you 9, but he'll look good getting those 9, just look at the youtube videos.

You have a point, they seem to be mostly a running team. However, with Grimes, Sam played 13 games, got 46 receptions for 427 yards and 4 touchdowns, averaging 9.3 yards per catch and 32.8 yards per game.

Grimes only played 9 games and had 496 yards, more than Sam who played in four more games, he averaged 55 yards per game had 7 touchdowns and averaged 18 yards per catch. So he statistically looks much better.

So we are going to act like sta don't have d1 players throughout their offensive skill positions. Tight ends, multiple receivers including sam, d1 running backs.... Only 1 ball goes around. Not to mention he had a qb who missed him SEVERAL times when he was wide open. You can't compare his production to ahmmon Richards. On Richards team he is the only d1 athlete outside of their qb. So he was able to get most of their production at the position... That's why Bruce's stats aren't as high as a lot of kids who are the only d1 receiver on their teams...

Need for depth and intangibles. But still having a hard time seeing the fuss over a career slot WR.

He plays bigger than his size. Besides he got heart which is missing from a lot of kids on the team. He has that old cane mentality

like all your logic....this is stupid.

Defenses can never key on Bruce when he steps on the field because he's not even the best WR on his own team. Every time Ahmmon steps on the field every team knows he's the best player on the his team and they gameplan around stopping him.

Don't no why you ****** are bringing up his stats. No one on STA has mind blowing numbers. Irvin has like 130 something yards.

We don't have to go that far... Remember this guy? same height 5'9, 5'10..same school
