He said he was about 60% committed earlier this year, while we still had Golden. The kid's been playing Miami since Scarlett bounced.

I hear you, but is this really worth it??? A trip to Columbia, SC and Columbus, Ohio in the dead of winter. Does the U fan base really deserve that... It really sucks that he is playing this game... He is too high of a profile recruit to start with this top 3 chit now... Are you kidding me??? It's about as mature as a 12 year old... This kid should KNOW what it is to be a "professional" with his background... Whoever the **** is mentoring this kid should tell him its F'ing embarrassing...

When I was choosing a college, I changed my preference at one point. After I visited "college A," it became my first choice. I told my parents, my teachers, and everyone else who was interested, that I was probably going to go to college A. But then, after visiting "college B" and considering certain other factors, college B became my first choice. I was not a recruited athlete with a pack of virtual voyeurs hanging on my every word, and to me, the choice of where to spend my next four years was important and, quite frankly, personal. I think it is perfectly natural for a kid to be pretty sure of his choice at one stage but then to change his mind later. That's what I did. If some adults had been hoping that I would go to one or the other of the two schools, that would have been touching, and I would have tried to take that into account, but I would try to be true to myself, also.

This has to be a troll. Does the fanbase deserve that? Are you kidding me? He's a kid and can go on as many trips as he likes. Coming on here and complaining about a teenager doing something that he's earned is about as mature as a 2 year old. Get a grip
 
What the ARCane guy above said. Fran and his troop of followers want to act like they know what's going on when they know nothing. Bruce may be the only person who knows where he stands or may even be confused where his heart and head is right now. It's also possible Richt and company know as well, who knows.

It's this young mans life and then you've got a bunch of grown *** men (even though they don't act like it most of the time) swinging on every report, tweet, photo, or whatever imaginings they have going on inside their head. I don't know if that's hilarious or just downright sad. You can bet though that these same nuthuggers will bash him to oblivion if he comes here and doesn't perform or sing his praises of he does.

That verges on disrespectful in my opinion. I am all for getting the most talented kids despite any games they play, if you end up with them on NSD then all is well but kids who play games like this and flip at the last minute really leaves the original university scrambling for a replacement.

If he has plans to commit somewhere else on NSD, or is not fully decided, he should not be committed to anyone at this point in time. Anyways, would love to have him, hope it works out, we need WRs in general and a pre-made slot guy like him would fill a need. I believe he could contribute his freshman year.

Where does Fran act like he knows what's going on?

I think he was simplifying it by saying that actions lead to reactions, you reap what you sow, etc. - when a recruit plays the recruiting game he should expect that fan bases will react in different ways. Lots of passion from our base, but if you give us an opening, some will go all in on you.
