Sam Bruce is now my favourite recruit (again)

I just don't understand taking Harrison over Bruce. We need a slot receiver, we don't need another linebacker.
 
I've only seen this being reported from this particular site so we'll see how accurate this ends up being...

My take on Sam Bruce...

OSU is waiting to see if Corey Smith gets a 6th year. If no Bruce is in. If yes OSU has to find a spot for him.

Ok. read it again and saw it. Can't imagine it can be anybody but us if he's announcing tomorrow.

That doesn't necessarily mean that it's over though, lol

The word "commitment" in this context has a more circumscribed meaning because the NCAA wants it to. This is the NCAA's description of the term "verbal commit":

"What is a verbal commitment?
Future student-athlete frequently asked questions


Answer:

This phrase is used to describe a college-bound student-athlete's commitment to a school before he or she signs (or is able to sign) a National Letter of Intent. A college-bound student-athlete can announce a verbal commitment at any time. While verbal commitments have become very popular for both college-bound student-athletes and coaches, this "commitment" is NOT binding on either the college-bound student-athlete or the college or university. Only the signing of the National Letter of Intent accompanied by a financial aid agreement is binding on both parties."

The commitment is non-binding because the NCAA constructs the rules that way to further its own interests. The commitments help the schools plan, but they themselves don't want to be bound by them.

I'm not quite sure that is the definition of commitment. That just says what kids can do. It doesn't change the definition of what the work commitment means. You should look that up and tell me if the definition jibes with someone that needs to make a decision.

Nothing will ever come close to touching the GOAT's Miami Herald recruiting diary where he reviewed everything from the lobster to the quality of the hoes on campus. They should have shut down recruiting games after Willie did his thing because it's all a cheap imitation after his brilliance.

I mean on th flip side of things you could look at it this way. Richt was able to get Mccloud to recommit, Bruce was looking dicy and he got him to reaffirm his commitment(if it's true he will) and with Richards who looks good for us getting him to recommit. That would be pretty big by Richt if it happens it tells you we aren't out of it for a kid ever going forward.

Those taint fans are hilarious. You free up a spot for a talent like Bruce. He's coming to Miami, so they're making excuses... As far as Richt is concerned, McCloud recommitted and all the LBs are in, Bruce and Richards looking good, Young in, Bethel in, Irvin in. Considering he has been our coach for 6 weeks, what else do people want from the guy? ... I guess he hasn't walked on water or raised the dead yet.

Recruiting has a lot to do with relationships, most people don't understand that though...
 
Said it last week I'll say it again if Ohio state has room he's theirs if not he's sticking , prediction once again is he sticks
