Sam Bruce is now my favourite recruit (again)

A commit that needs to decide and announce is not really a commit.

Seems like mom had a good visit. Rooting for her on this one!

This. Called it long ago. Dude is setting up a hat trick. If he was a Cane, he'd be a Cane. Has all he makings of an Urban Maya type silent commit who is gonna burn us.

If he was a Cane, hed be talking us up to other prospects.

Cue Alex Collins trying to run down his mother with the paper.

"Watch out"cause he could possibly take one next week...did u forget he was suppose to take this Miami visit on the 29th, but he rescheduled to this past weekend so there were probably rumblings of FSU tryin to get into the picture.... common sense...smh

President of the Geo fan club a paid position?

Tryin to be funny?? It aint about that its everytime any one of the writers post some info and somethings dont work out, people criticize them. these guys have some insight to whats goin on cause they are tied to the program in some way..if people dnt like it just log off or go onto some other site..plain and simple

Oh, that's it. I'm leaving the site now because deerob305 is sick of poor fake insiders getting put through the ringer when they post more fake inside information.

How about you stop swinging from Geo305's nuts and let him defend himself? I'm sure Geo305 can just say that this was a case of a recruit changing his mind and point to his long record of accurate information in defense.

So you know recruits change there mind, but still bash guys for posting info that could have been true, but now is inaccurate cause a recruit does change their mind??? LmaO... some of yall some clowns... but whatever, done arguing with fans.... Go Canes!!!!

No I bash guys for posting blatantly false info. You're not very smart.

OSU told him to wait to see if they had room. They now said they have room. He gone.
Nah he going to Miami, that zone 6 tweet Haskins sent out was referring to the 6'4 athlete Harrison who osu's recruiting as a receiver and/ or Corey smith getting his 6th year of eligibility at osu...

Are you Geo? No, then Bruce? Ah, then someone in his circle of trust? Hmm, maybe someone at FSU in the know? I'm stumped then as to how you can say with such certainty that what Geo passed along wasn't true at the time. You're not very smart are you?

Wait, Bruce is committed to Miami but has to make a decision? I guess he's not really committed then.

The word "commitment" in this context has a more circumscribed meaning because the NCAA wants it to. This is the NCAA's description of the term "verbal commit":

"What is a verbal commitment?
Future student-athlete frequently asked questions

Answer:

This phrase is used to describe a college-bound student-athlete's commitment to a school before he or she signs (or is able to sign) a National Letter of Intent. A college-bound student-athlete can announce a verbal commitment at any time. While verbal commitments have become very popular for both college-bound student-athletes and coaches, this "commitment" is NOT binding on either the college-bound student-athlete or the college or university. Only the signing of the National Letter of Intent accompanied by a financial aid agreement is binding on both parties."

The commitment is non-binding because the NCAA constructs the rules that way to further its own interests. The commitments help the schools plan, but they themselves don't want to be bound by them.

according to matt shodell... he talked with his mom and uncle and came up with a unanimous decision. His mom talked all UM in the previous interview.

Another poster prior to the article being written, apparently has some connection to Bruce (maybe through SFE) said that the announcement was coming, he heard about it before the article was written, posted later in the post that Bruce is a cane. Also heard that Randrecous Davis (no idea of his connection to Davis) is as well. That thread was deleted soon after though.

We'll see tomorrow.

I think Bruce just wanted the new coach to court him for a while that's all.

I can understand it though, relationships matter in recruiting. We have a completely new staff, compared to Ohio states Staff who had been recruiting him for months

This. That and OSU has been getting Crystal Ball picks on 247 for NJ 4-star ATH Jordan Fuller as well. I'm thinking at best they are trying to see who commits first. That Harrison kid is an OSU LOCK and probably a silent already. I'm extremely familiar with his recruitment due to being from Wisconsin and reading the Badgers board as well; they recruited Harrison pretty relentlessly and it was widely known that if OSU offered, as they did I believe in NOV/DEC, that he would ultimately be a Buckeye. Wisconsin's mod, Evan Flood, is amazing and always has the very inside scoop on their guys and the only potential snag w OSU and Harrison was his preference of WR or TE over playing defense. Looking a lot better for us imo. But I do reserve the right to be wrong lol...recruiting is like no other

So we got OSU insiders saying he's going to OSU and Cane insiders saying he's a cane. Recruiting is fun...

Well there goes my exact point haha, if Bruce "commits" tomorrow he would be taking Fuller's spot as I alluded too.

But I expect him to stay committed.
