That must be an Enos thing. Cam barely gets carries when Dallas is healthy. He clearly doesn't like rotating RBs at all.

Yes, you are right about the Dallas / Cam thing.
Reminds me of the Orangemen in hoops where there are seasons that Boeheim would play mostly only the starting 5 and sometimes a sixth.

Manny is the HC and a former DC. The fact that he didn’t recognize what was happening and didn’t overule it or make the adjustment tells you his head was spinning during the game and he was unable to grasp reality. That’s how a man overwhelmed reacts. He’s just trying to hold on for dear life
 
Read between the lines fellas. The staff is playing guys that are “buying in as yes men.” They aren’t playing the best players. They are playing the guys that do what they’re told.
Good coaches get guys like the Jeff Thomas, Sam Brooks, Hightower, Pope, Lingard etc to go all in. Diaz is in over his head and Enos was a huge mistake. The guys below them are nothing but under qualified yes men themselves. Many players are realizing this and not buying into the TNM. Instead, walk-ons that don’t know any better and are just thrilled to put in a uni are doing whatever they can for a story to tell their kids one day.
This is Shannon and Nix all over again. History repeats itself. It will continue to until new decision makers are in place.

Brooks has a very narrow high-hipped frame/build, played DE in HS where he had a ton of unblocked and effort-based production, and in the limited exposures of him off the ball he looked stiff and lost in space and in coverage.

I think Brooks can be effective as a run and hit guy who plays shallow zones on the perimeter, which in this scheme would be a Striker who doesn't have man coverage assignments. I also like him as a subpackage pass rusher where he can clean up plays as a delayed blitzer or in stunt packages. I've stated that I see his long-term role as an edge rusher Barkevious Mingo type but he needs to get bigger and develop his pass rush skills to warrant snaps in that role. But if you think he's gonna be an off-ball LB here you're basically hoping that you get a poor man's Matthew Thomas - so maybe an average ACC LB in a best-case scenario. Is that worth getting hysterical about?

It’s not a matter of hype. If you can’t take a guy with Brooks’s physical gifts and toughness and make him better than Ragu then you suck as a coach.

I can’t give any deference to this clown *** staff. Just because they think Ragu is a better option than Brooks doesn’t make it true. They also thought Patchan was better than Rousseau.

Absolute dead on.
The hype gets in front of these guys before they make a play. Brooks made plays against Bethune. After that, the Canesinsight podcast hype machine kicks into high gear. He better look good against Bethune. But the dude is 200 pounds. wrecked knee 2 years ago. Give him time. He should be redshirting.

I really don't understand this defensive staff. They have a propensity for constantly leaving talent off of the field and after seeing a player fail dozens of time, replace him - Patchan with Rousseau as a prime example.
