I was looking back at last seasons games, and noticed how often Rosier relied on Braxton when he needed a completion, 1st down, or TD in the red zone, and Herndon when the offense needed a huge play after going stagnent for a whole quarter or half. My question is, who takes that mantle for this season? I actually think it might be Cager, it’s put up or shut up time for him, and it appears the bowl game might have been his coming out party.

I’d love for it to be Brevin Jordan but my bet is Jeff Thomas, as fast and quick as he is and can line up all over the field.

i'm going cager too, I think a lot of teams will focus on 82 and 4, and with his wingspan, rosier doesn't have to be as accurate, just throw it up to him

Let's be honest here, if 82 is healthy this year, he IS the safety blanket and the best offensive player on the team

With coach Thomas talking up Brevin and Will Mallory, I'd say them.

Curveball: Going along with the trend of having a big slot, Darrel Langham or Cager working from the slot could provide this. I thnk Langham has better hands than Cager, so personally, I'm rolling with Langham in the slot with AR and Jeff Thomas on the outside.

I’d say Thomas he’s got solid hands and obviously great speed. At tight end I’m sure Jordan will take over but it will take some time.

Was thinking about that a lot after watching specifically the FSU game's highlights again. I agree that JT should/will be that clear #2, much like Berrios was, but Malik has to look for Ahmmon every chance he gets.

One little compliment and our FR TEs are suddenly go-to receivers? Maybe there's something between not seeing the field and being a star. I don't really care who it is as long as there's somebody we can depend on when it matters, it just seems a stretch to assume it'll be a guy who's never played a college down.

I think Richards would be the first safety blanket.

Then Homer out of the backfield.

Maybe one of the young TEs after they've played a few games with Rosier (or whoever happens to be the QB).

Malik said he's seeing the entire field and he should know where the ball is going pre-snap if not directly after. At that point it's about footwork, mechanics and execution. I understand the question but his safety is knowing the system and running when it's not there.

I'd like to say JT4 but he outruns Rosier's arm. AR82 will be blanketed by 4 or 5 DBs so its time for Cagers arrival.
