If it puts muscle/weight on maybe he can actually tackle. Also I would rather he miss a tackle/pass as a lb than a safety. He is not a safety. Maybe switch to offense as a big WR. big Liability on defense. But it seems they like safeties that give up big plays

Was going to post the same thing. They have incredible ability but right now are failing at the cerebral part and are hurting the team. Good news is the game is slowing down for our LBs who played great today.

If he adds 10-15 lbs of muscle he won't be playing safety and he's made it very very clear he will only play safety here.

Maybe he’s just not a good football player. Name me the last player besides Shields that changed positions and became good. Once a guy changes changes positions 90% of the time that means career over. Let’s see what Williams can do with one more year of coaching with coaches that actually know how to teach proper tackling techniques.

Avante showed today why the coaches haven’t been playing him. As others have noted, the two coverage bust were big…but don’t forget him throwing a punch on the kickoff. They called the unsportsmanlike, it could have been worse!
