saddest aspect of this mess...

is the wasted talent we have on this squad. We have the goods, we lack the coaching. We are loaded at wide receiver, we have talented RB's that are under utilized. We throw too many bombs whereas our WR's need shorter routes and will make yards after catch. With those bombs we throw our OL is limited and cannot prevent sacks when asked to block for so long. Rosier cannot throw accurately to receivers 5 yards away. Some of these teams where we are bigger, tougher and stronger we let them push us around whereas a valid running game should suffice against weaker teams with Homer, DeeJay, Lingard, etc. It mystifies me that we have not developed any running attack which would allow our defense some rest yet our defense is awesome. I think that Weldon might be our best accurate passer, the Dolphins won with Bob Griese who could not throw the ball 20 yards but hit his open receivers, same as when we had Steve Walsh. Coaches need to recognize the strength of a team and not force a prepared program down their throats that does not match the talent. I feel for the players having such a train wreck that hinges around a total lack of a decent offensive perceptive. Sad!

Another sad thing is that we just flushed unprecedented energy, enthusiasm and admiration that this program had gotten back (remember game day on campus for ND last year) ..... all down the toilet due to this inept stubborn old fart of a coach..

We throw virtually no bombs, don't know what games you are watching. Rosier doesn't have the arm for it.
 
You have 3 athletes on your offense that you should get the ball to numerous times a game (Thomas, Jordan, and Dallas) but they can’t even do that. You should be able to get at least 2 tds a game from any of those three.
 
These kids deserve better.

The admin unfortunately don't agree and that is why they gave out their 4th straight unnecessary extension.

I agree that we don;t throw too many but when we do it results in a sack, an INT or incomplete...I guess I am considering any pass that is the longest Rosier can throw a bomb. :(

This is the most important of all the post about this, 15 years of purgatory and we were on our way!!
