Saban's impact: The millionaire asst. coaches club

and the Bernie crew wonders why college is so expensive.

it's certainly not because of nick Saban and his crew. Look at the price of Alabama tuition in 07 and look at it now. Additionally, the boosters and fans extreme support is why that staff (+ others) are paid so much. Schools like Bama and OSU don't use tuition $ to pay for coaches...

If people only knew when it comes to Alabama...

They have a university bank that they funnel money to players through. That entire issue with Lowder and the bank tied to Auburn? Lets just say it's not a coincidence they ran into issues. Everyone in the SEC knows about it, but the money is too great for anyone to stop it. The rabbit hole is so deep. Saban also owns multiple car dealerships in the state where players have gotten cars from...no conflict of interest there at all. That is not even taking into consideration the numerous 'off-field' coaches they have who have been caught coaching on gamedays, the blatant over signing and stashing of players on medical hardships to keep rivals from getting them, etc. There is nothing special about what Saban is doing. They blatantly cheat and push every envelope and back up the brinks truck to do it. Assistant coaching salaries ain't got **** to do with ****. Plenty of the big boy football schools can match what they are paying coaches.

NVA, it's boring because you have no vested interest in it. I'd bet most would say our run was boring as well. Obviously not to us, but whatever.

I've never heard anyone refer to our good teams as boring. That's probably the worst possible adjective for any of our NC teams.

That's it right there. Bama teams have the personality of their coach.

At Miami the athletic department has to reimburse the university for each scholarship.

Sounds like more conspiracy theory than anything else..... Doubt any of that stuff is true. Dudes just better it any than anyone else for the most part. Urban was awesome at UF, and has done great at OSU.......
