it took saban 1 year to get a good understanding of the bama system and lay the groundwork for the bagmen. once saban got the bagmen going after the first year you will notice how quickly their recruiting classes were magically better.

Problem with this is that Sabans first year was still better than the previous year. He actually improved from the previous coach's last season. Manny can't say that.
