Saban helped make sure Jalen Hurts didn't transfer to Miami

He was right about hurts and okla! But, Don't forget he tried to promote enos and was upset he went to miami! So it wasn't technically about miami it was about enos more so!
1. That’s what we were told and wanted to believe.
2. He’s had a revolving door staff for a decade so not sure he cared so much.
3. Had he promoted him, he would have fired him 3 games into the season.

2.3 points/game, now please shut the **** up for the love of God.

How about you stop being a prick and deciding what Miami Hurricanes related football things I can talk about on a Miami Hurricanes football forum. Dont like it? Dont read it.

Most on this board felt we won the QB transfer market by getting Tate instead of Hurts.

Honestly, I thought of Hurts as a rich man's Malik Rosier (I actually think I used that phrase at the time) when choosing between the 2. Really surprised at how good he was at Oklahoma. I think it proves the maxim that systems make QBs. I don't think he is a NFL quality QB and doubt he lasts 3 years in the NFL as a QB.

Very surprised Urban Meyer chose so poorly with Martell. I don't think there is any system where he is an effective QB.

You know what, that's true.

Yeah I think the season could have gone one of two ways- we have a great season with Hurts or we are mediocre again and win 8-9 games. Miamis track record over almost 2 decades isn't good so probably a higher chance of 8 or 9 wins than 11. That means we are stuck with Enos and Diaz for at least 4 years. Fools gold but no real shot at winning a title. Painful as the season was, I take solace in that it led Miami to a spread offense (and new OL coach, we were dying at OL recruiting)

If Hurts starts against UF, do you think Miami still loses that game? We lost 24-20 with a first time starting QB that didn't know the offense. It's funny, all you negative nancies know I'm right, but it just makes you feel better to hate on the team.

With Jalen Hurts

UF- win
UNC- win
BCU- win
CMU- win
VT- loss
UVA- win
GT- win
Pitt- win
FSU- win
Louisville- win
FIU- win
Duke- loss
ACC Championship- loss
Bowl game- win

That's 11-3. I'm not wrong.

Jalen Hurts would not have lost to VT or Duke.

I hate him too. But he advised his player to go to the best situation and he it worked out very well. I don’t know how you can hate him for that.

Exactly. If anything, that SHOULD be motivation for UM. Saban knew we wouldn't be able to protect him.

I can't stand the guy, but I would have sadly told Hurts the same thing if I was telling the truth.

UM

So what do you the final record is then? More than 11 wins?

We may have still lost to UF. Jarrens 4picks lost the VT game and we were still in it. Miami outscored VT from the 1st to 4th Quarter. I’d like to believe hurts doesn’t do that.

Miami led Duke 14-3 at the half. I think we keep scoring there as well.

I think your right for 11 wins with Jalen Hurts. I think it’s possible to still lose the UF game. Because the OL and play calling was such garbage.

I’d actually say 11-1.

I would argue execution has way more to do with winning than playcall & Hurts def executes most of those same plays better than Jarren..that’s a fact.

I don't hate Saban at all. Matter of fact if they offered Saban a job at Miami most of you fools would take it *** up. The man makes moves are coaching staff could only imagine doing. And the fact that he told Jalen to look out for you and not everyone else well hey good job coach.
But it also could be that Saban was ****ed off at Enos. Didn't want to see him be great.

Yeah, so I really hate that guy.

I am glad you posted this because I certainly was going to. We absolutely have to not only win this year but we have to beat Bama or at least play them close. We have to change the narrative that we are just another team. Saban knows what talent we have in SFla, but for him to discourage Hurts from coming here and go to OU is crazy. Consider from a strategic standpoint, that Hurts going to OU could have hurt their chances to win a NC had they made the playoffs. Dude didn’t care which tells us how disrespected we really are.
