Saban helped make sure Jalen Hurts didn't transfer to Miami

The question isn’t “would Miami have been better with Hurts?” It’s “would going to Miami have been better for Hurts?”. The answer is unequivocally NO. The combination of system, play calling and offensive line was a trifecta of garbage that no QB would have prospered in. You can play the “ we would have won x amount of games with Hurts” game but none of that matters. We’ve never seen Jalen Hurts have to spend an entire game running for his life. We’ve seen Hurts play in two very QB friendly systems. One with a dominant line and running game that didn’t require him to make many plays and another that has made the two previous quarterbacks to play in it #1 overall draft choices. ****, Hurts not coming to Miami was good for Miami too. Imagine if he had come and played just well enough to win a few of the close games we lost in 2019. We’d be looking at 2020 with Jarren Williams getting ready to take over in Enos’ offense.

5 out of 7 losses were by 7 points or less. No sane person would argue that Jalen Hurts is worth less than a TD per game over Jarren Williams. If Hurts is QB and you add his one TD per game, then Miami finishes the season 11-2. Oklahoma finished 12-2 with Hurts, pretty much what Miami would have if he'd been the QB here.

You tell me- if Jalen Hurts starts over Jarren Williams, you still think UF beats Miami?

Read your first sentence......7 ******* loses. Don’t give a sh*t if they were by 1 point. Riley hasn’t lost 7 games in 3 years.

Saban 100000000000% was right

Uhhh, he was right...

Lincoln Riley is 100,000x the better coach & had a far far better offensive system that fit his skill set.

He threw for 3,851yds 32TD's 8INT's at 69.7% completion & ran for 1,298yds & 20TD's.

Had he came to Miami he wouldn't have put up anywhere near those numbers, nor would he have gotten drafted in the 2nd round.

I hate Saban too, but he helped make Hurts make the right decision, no question about it.

Our fans continue to bring stuff up like this, if they were jalen or any kid trying to get to the league they would not have picked our team with the coaching we’ve had. The admin needs to put a priority on coaching and facilities. Keep that at the top we keep the best of the litter in college football!!!

Its not a hard question. You have eyeballs. You have seen Williams play and Hurts play. In your opinion how many points difference between the two?

For example- if someone asks me, if Joe Montana is Miami's QB over Marino, how many titles do the Fins win? Ive watched both QBs play. I can say I don't think it changes anything. Marino was a better passer who made the Fins much better than the talent level. Without a defense and run game, Montanas mobility isn't a difference maker.

In my opinion Hurts is worth 10 points more per game (there is actually a stat called points responsible for per game, which King was #1 in 2018).
2.3 points/game, now please shut the **** up for the love of God.

Its not a straw man. You just won't answer the question. The conventional wisdom is a good QB can elevate a team. I would like to know how many more points you think Hurts is worth over Williams in Enos's offense? Thats it. A simple question.

He’s an ***, but he also knew what type of OL a team needs to attempt to run Enid’s offense effectively and he knew we didn’t have it.

He told Jalen to go to a program and coach where he could thrive, I can’t fault him for doing right by his player.

Yeah, can't argue with Saban's reasoning - good sound advice.

Watch how long Brady lasts this year without that NE O-line in front of him. That O-line will finally get its due after everyone else has at NE, when the comparisons start.

He was right. And remember, Saban knew Enos. For all those folks who think we stole him from Nick, hard to reconcile with how smart Nick is and how awful Enos was.
He was right about hurts and okla! But, Don't forget he tried to promote enos and was upset he went to miami! So it wasn't technically about miami it was about enos more so!

Did you watch our O-Line that game? We could’ve had Tom Brady out there and nobody was winning that game for us except for Butch muthafvckin Davis! That was also one of Jarren’s best games of the year! Here’s what we know: Dan Enos was a ****** O coordinator, Lincoln Riley is cutting edge, Hurts went to a place that could showcase his abilities, Enos wanted to run an Arkansas offense from 10 years ago, Miami wasn’t going to any CFP, Oklahoma did. Oklahoma’s talent was undoubtedly better than ours.
Now, would we have been better with Hurts than with Smokey Williams? We all know the answer to that. Still doesn’t mean the kid should’ve come here.
How was butch gonna win us that game!?

Lmao he was right. It’s time to get off our high horse and face the facts. Miami has been irrelevant for a decade. Stop getting mad when someone points that out.
[/ u felt the need to point it out! What high horse ohio taint stole our high horse in '02 and its being passed around, ohio taint×2 bama×4or5 i lost count, clemson×2, fsu1, fla×2, usc×2! Lsu×2 aub-1,texas-1All the teams that have one a title since taint stole our high horse!!...think I'm missing one
