Ryheem Lockley at Safety

He's a beast at te or linebacker and I would think he's a tight end because after Beau/Clive leave next year we don't have much depth

If Derrick Griffin makes it in he will be the TE in this class and our version of Ebron. Griffin is now listed at 6-6 255 according to rivals.

If he really got that big then you're right but I still don't see him a a safety. He's so big and you're taking a big risk as a safety but as a linebacker he can do some damage next year

I laughed at that 3 star ranking also. The kid was one of the best players in the nation a season ago but now all of a sudden he is average lol what a joke. I really don't think the staff ever got really serious about Pierce. Don't forget about Christopher Herndon 6-4 225 running 4.7 and putting up good numbers Norcross. Between Griffin and Herndon I think this staff has done a great job at TE for this class.

I have always thought LB was the place for him. But the staff just might see something we don't see. All I am saying is "what if" he is that once in a decade type of athlete, that type of size and athletic ability will do wonders for this secondary.

That why its good that college athletes have 4-5 years of eligibility. I wouldn't be surprise for his freshman year that they experiment him at Wr or Safety in 7 on 7s and practice then move him to another position if they are not satisfied with his performance.

We will see because he's a stud athlete

And somehow lost a star or two. Don't think they've got this one right.

I hope he is a LB, we need him there. I don't think TE is in a bad situation at all. We have bodies there plus Herndon for now. Plus who knows what happens with griffin. In terms of his rating, it is laughable. This kid talent wise is elite elite. Anyway, we still need OLBs that can cover, we only have one coming in with Owens. Young is out inside guy, and McCray and Smith look like pass rushers who are a liability in coverage......

It happen to all kids that go prep. There is no Miami bias. The Sheppard kid that committed to ND was 5 star CB and now is a 3 star.

**** he got big as ****. He'd be better Ebron. **** Ebron. he'd be the NFL version of Jimmy Graham.

Well Miami needs a big WR too so if Derrick Griffin is that big, Ryheem Lockley definitely should play receiver.

/ i'm sure he lost a star b/c their not sure he's going to qualify.

I just have a feeling with some college coaching this kid is gonna turn up

and be a wrecking ball over the middle...I can't wait to get him on campus...

At that size Griffin will be a difference maker from day 1. Don't forget about Darrell Langham 6-5 205 he could be up to 215-220 by the time the 2014 season starts.

And so the overhyping begins. Langham is a rail right now, no way he is 200. Looks skinnier than Streeter was. By the time next season rolls around everyone will be expecting him to come in and make big time plays from Day 1. Then of, God forbid, the kid has to redshirt we will be calling him a bust before his second year. Rinse, wash, repeat every year. Let it play out.

well at 6'5" u will look skinny at 205 lbs so it is possible he is at least 200 pounds.

That doesnt mean he'd be ready to contribute right away but who knows.
