Ryan Williams: I'll say it again

What the **** is your football background and why is your football IQ so high that gives me any reason to believe you can assess a QB performance and predict his future based off of what you seen out of a true freshman that practiced for 3 months and was the starting QB that played the 4th hardest schedule in the nation.

All I'm trying to say is that if you think Ryan Williams, who already sucked at Memphis, was a 2 star recruit, can't throw anything more than a checkdown/floating pass to start with, would have been any better 6 months off of ACL surgery than Kaaya then you are clueless.

Probably not better overall, but a senior qb would have beaten UVa, thus our record eould have been better. I also think a senior qb would have beaten fsu after they gave us the game the first 3 quarters.

The season woukd have been a disast r anyway, shoukd have just redshirted Kaaya and let us watch Heaps and Williams carry us to 6-6 or 7-5

Kaaya put up great numbers coming into a season with no experience. Some would point out that he struggled in second halves but isn't it a coincidence all of Al Goldens teams struggle in the second half? Is it Kaaya's fault the coaches made no adjustments and were figured out in the second half? Nope. I can see why our fans hate our coaches, they should. However, the fans that trash players like Kaaya and Duke should find another team.

Al Golden teams dont show up but Stephen Morris made plays in 4th quarters before.... NcState game for the win and made a number of clutch plays against GT late for the win.

My point is its really odd for a QB to be so timid as Kaaya was in entire 2nd halves of play.... and smh at anybody who thinks thats just a growing phase.

The only game Kaaya could be described as timid in the second half was the FSU game. However, FSU figured out the offense and they took the middle of the field from Kaaya. Coley never countered with adjustments. Nebraska and GT, Kaaya still made plays but the defense sucked. Pitt and UVA can't be put on Kaaya since the whole team quit and the kid was on his back every play.

Kaaya checked out the UVa game too and a number of other games like Nebraska.... we can say the team quit, but if im a football player and im in a huddle and see my qb about to pee his pants than im quitting too,

when did Kaaya look like he was gonna wet his pants? While he was making throws while getting hit in the face by unblocked linemen? What gave you this impression? How about the throw to Duke while getting pounded to the ground? The team quit. Tom Brady couldn't win with the team that just gave up after losing to FSU.

So Ryan Williams could all by himself, could have made the defense actually get a stop against Virginia who ran it down our throats all night and controlled the time of possession, and then after that out played Kaaya enough to manage 17 more points? Then against FSU would have thrown a better ball to Berrios that he would have caught, would have stopped Dobard and Clive from fumbling, and would have made our walk on freshman kicker make a chip shot field goal and an extra point?

Kayaa may not be the QB at UM. He will have to hold off a really athletically gifted QB in Malik Rosier. The staff wanted to use Rosier this year but was afraid of burning his redshirt because of the loss of Olsen.

You see the reports that the coaches will create plays for Malik Rosier next season. He has a stronger arm than Kayaa and can run like a receiver. For all those thinking Kayaa is the man better pay close attention this spring because Malik Rosier is that good.

I woukdnt be surprised if this happens.... lol at ppl thinking Kaaya has done enough to be our guaranteed qb goinh forward smh.

If Brad Kaaya is not the QB for Miami next year then I promise I will never be a fan again. Anyone that believe Rosier could beat him out is an idiot. Don't really know how anyone can say he "choked" or isn't clutch, he hit Berrios in the end zone for a TD that was dropped, hit Stan Dobard on the seam for a 30+ yard gain that was fumbled, what else do you want him to do?

Yes, I want Rosier to challenge him at QB, it will only make him better. But Rosier enrolled early and Kaaya did not. Rosier still couldn't beat him out or even come close to doing that. The only reason they are suggesting these packages for him is to add another dimension to our offense that Kaaya doesn't bring. More than likely it is also to keep Rosier happy and not transfer because if Kaaya was to get hurt and Lawson doesn't come we are ****ed.

So you are not going to be a fan of UM football because we actually recruited a player that is just as good as our current starter? To be elite again this is the kind of roster and competition that you want and dream off. When a staff creates plays and packages for a player it is because they are extremely talented and want them on the field.

It was well documented that Malik Rosier struggles were because of the simplistic offense he ran in high school. He never played under center so his footwork needed development while Kayaa had experience playing under center.

Kayaa has some serious competition going into the spring. Wait until your reaction to Rosier slipping out the pocket and racing 50 yards down field or extending a play with his feet while throwing a rocket down the field. The kids is really good and that is why the staff wants him on the field

I can't think of too many worse ideas honestly. Whether he succeeds or fails, it doesn't help the team. Success would arguably be even worse.

Im fine if Rosier plays some packages and has a role, but Kaaya is the closest thing to Ken Dorsey we have had and will only get better. I've heard numerous times that Rosier is simply an athlete, no football IQ, has no idea how to read a defense, no idea how to process his reads. Just a physically gifted QB. Basically everything you just described was Jacory Harris, and we all know how that worked out. He wasn't terrible, but we can do better than that

Put any of them on this team and the results are very similar. We may have won Louisville. We still lose to FSU. We still lose to Nebraska and GT on the account of the defense. We lose to UVA and Pitt because all of them spend the game on their back surrounded by players who have quit.

See this is the problem right here... you all think that statement means Kaaya is special. how many teams started a true freshman qb from the first game on?

Johnny Manziel and Jameis Winstins 1st year stats were off the charts compared to Kaayas 1st year.... no difference between a true or redshirt freshman when it comes to qb, neither had experience and by all accounts Johnny football was more like Kevin Olsen off the field than Kaaya so im sure Kaaya studied more than him, but the life of th e party won the heisman.

Rosier is not J Harris. Harris was not very athletic. Rosier is in the same mode as Marcus Marioto athletically. Here is why I think Kayaa may not have much of a career here and has a chance of being passed up.

I agree with the comparison to Dorsey. I can see those attributes in Kayaa but here is the difference. Dorsey had talent around him. Golden has not landed any premier receivers and the 2015 class is another failure at the skill position. Kayaa is not mobile and is not good at extending plays or throwing on the run so he needs weapons. Golden is doing nothing to help him. We lost Cook, Lane and Randolph along with others. This year looks bleak also.

I'm done arguing with someone that has no idea what they are talking about. If anyone is actually a Miami fan or supporter, even if you hate Golden, quit hating the players. I hate Golden, but I will never say something bad about a player that earns everything they get and deservedly so should be honored for it like Brad Kaaya. People that talk bad about him, Duke, or anyone else that works their *** off for the program even for a clueless coach earns my respect. Until I'm proven otherwise Kaaya is the best freshman QB in the nation and Duke Johnson is probably one of the best players to ever come through Miami, and anyone that disagrees either hasn't watched a game or needs to find a new team.
