Like most quarterbacks, Darian Mensah is a student of the game.

Recently, Mensah has spent a good amount of time watching one fellow quarterback in particular.

He’s studied the way Cam Ward moves in the pocket and finds ways to make plays happen, even when under intense pressure. He’s watched Ward dissect defenses. He’s seen how Ward’s arm strength helps him connect with receivers all over the field, and he knows full well how Ward’s one...

I'd figure national media would be hyping this guy up a lot more. Feels like he's not getting nearly enough recognition when compared to guys like Carr, Manning, Sayin, and Moore. Mensah clearly has the talent, but also has an insanely good supporting cast.
It was the same with cam, beck/ewers/shedeur/allar/milroe/ got more hype then by week 3 it was clear what was just media narratives

I think arch and moore are the top guys along with mensah, carr and saying are getting the notre dame/osu boost

Finally young players don’t have to watch VHS tapes (intentional exaggeration) to find UM players they admire and want to play like.
I love the history at UM from the Highsmith-Maryland era to the Santana Moss-ST era, but all of that is so long ago.

Ward and Mail have given us current players who younger guys look up to and emulate. Bain and Cici as well. We know kids want to win and live in Miami, but it’s human nature to think, ‘I want to be the next ________’. It will be nice to fill in that blank at more and more positions.

Nothing wrong with flying under the radar and stacking wins.

Last year playoff run made me realize most people just dont watch ball so that alone, I know they dont watch Duke football.. And they go on narratives to fill the gaps really.. Most havent seen Mensah play so they overrate guys from ND and OSU..

Narrative will switch FASSST like Cam did..

"Watching Cam play, he’s an extremely exciting player, and I feel like I’m the same,” Mensah said. “I think there’s a lot of similarities between Cam’s and [my] games. I used to watch a bunch of Cam’s tape, even last year at Duke. I would watch his whole entire season back, so it’s kind of just manifested this, being a Hurricane now. I think it’s pretty awesome.”

I wonder why he didn't say that about Beck?
