Rutgers dropping bags?

I would love to see what he could do in the B10. I know Schiano takes it on the chin on the regular here, but there is no denying that he is their best coach ever. If he's pulling in an OC like this, they really are committed to doing more than just regularly take up space on the bottom rung of the B10.

Okay, who would you consider to be the second best HC at Rutgers?

Exactly. Before and after him, they have sucked. As a CFB fan with no great love for the powers of the B10 (especially OSU) I love the idea that Rutgers might occasionally jam their thumb in Taint's eye.

My point was that isn’t an accomplishment (Coach Chimpiano being their best HC).

Over 100 years of football and he had them competitive. Agree to disagree.
In the Big Least. Remember that. He had a couple good years in the Big Least when he got their talent as good or better than every other team in that league. Buttgers will never do that in the Big 10.

Gleeson would be a devout moron to hitch his rising star to that dead fish. That program stands no chance getting raided for recruits by all the Big 10 teams that kill them every week on tv.

It’s been discussed a few times already that Gleeson is from NJ and coached previously at Princeton, so it could be as simple as wanting to come back home. He’s a NE guy.

Makes a lot of sense actually. If Rutgers offense improves even incrementally, he'll have head coaching offers within a year or two
