“I think our guys understand it,” D’Onofrio said, of the Miami’s defensive scheme. “If you talk to our players right now and you said, ‘Hey, do you know what you need to do in the scheme? Are you seeing what you need to see?’ I think they’d tell you yes. That being said, at the end of the day, I have to get them to execute better…they know they’re getting coached hard. They’re getting coached with detail. I’m positive they would tell you that. At the end of the day, we have to execute. On my side of the ball, that starts with me, and it moves down to the coaches and comes back to the players. We know what we’re seeing. We know what we have to fix. We’re in it together and we’ll continue to work.”
