Weren't the staff on S. Michel since the 8th grade and T. Gibson since the 9th grade, D. Snelson since the 9th grade? He must be talking about the other south Florida high school teams.

Sony was actually recruited by Shannon's staff since then. Gibson and Snelson received letters and the coaches said hi when they visited. When actual recruiting starts for those kids they realize that the staff wasnt really showing as much attention.

He also said out of state schools are at functions other than football for these kids and Miami is nowhere to be found.

Miami doesn't want any of the local anymore. They have made a concerted effort to stop being an urban football program. There is a serious disconnect between what the school thinks it is and what it actually is. The admin has a delusional belief that we are "too good academically" to fill with south Florida black kids out of the south Florida education system.

Miami refuses to use the NCAA sliding scale. It's a fact. They will make case by case exceptions, but it's impossible to own south Florida recruiting when you hold kids to higher than necessary standards that other schools don't impose.

The interview was not bashing golden really. He said that he and golden was just talking about setting a pipeline 2 weeks ago from heritage to miami . However he did say the coaches aren't doing enough in recruiting the players as far as going to different functions. Why does the staff feel that getting their commitments will be enough to hold off other programs for showing these kids heavy attention?

Shots fired? Rumph is in dialogue with Golden trying to help him fix his recruiting. The tweet just framed the quote as being critical and negative because that's how "Twan Russell" wanted it. Agree with the last sentence though.

Stop the Bull**** already! You are measured by results not attempts! Golden is an epic failure when it comes to securing SoFl top talent on NSD. I'd bet he's settled on lesser talent on and after NSD than he has signed 4 Star SoFl recruits. The inability to recruits effectively in your own area is reason enough to fire any coach anywhere! Fire his *** already!
