Rumor: Urban to Step Down

During dinner with my family, this evening, that subject came up. We live in Columbus and they are all, over the top and annoying, Buckeye fans. Interestingly they are all believing it's time for him to go (not what I expected). Between the self inflicted scandal, the obvious health issues, to his weekly weirdness, on the sideline, and his pretty consistent talk about spending time with his grandkids, they see the writing on the wall. He's consistently denied it, when asked in pressers and says he plans to coach in 19.

Before too long it'll effect the recruting, with other coaches planting the seed that he's on his way out sooner than later. Harabaugh could help, the process, by getting it done and beating them this week.

If they beat Michigan & win the B1G they're headed to the playoffs again.

What reason would he step down for? Unless he's getting pushed out the door by their BOT, which I find extremely hard to believe considering they didn't even want to suspended him to begin the season.

And I don't believe for one second it has anything to do with "health issues" either.

Only reason I could think is health and the fiasco he had to deal with. During the Maryland game, Urban looked drained while his team was on the sidelines.

Looked like he was about to stroke out on the sideline 5 different times yesterday. Ol' boy needs some Papa John's quick.

According to CMR (I cant find the interview) if you don’t have any emotions about or towards the game you can easily avoid health problems.

Michigan is back and he is gone. He’ll move onto the next opportunity. The NFL is calling. Cleveland has the players, draft picks and GM to make him look great. He doesn’t have to win the super bowl there to be crowned king. Make the playoffs and you’re a genius. Cleveland bound

Lol, at anybody believing the Urban "The Deceiver" Meyer has a health problem. It's a built-in excuse when he either needs to go elsewhere or just get-gone. He's a liar and you should doubt and question his every move.
So tf what....he wins.

Under armour money calling.
No way they let anyone know if he was stepping down.
I’m sure the people in the school that didn’t want him back are treating him lovely.
Michigan is about to embarrass them.
Battle and Crowley chose poorly.
If FSU looked bad with those players then what does osu look like now? They’ve struggled this season despite their record and have had more talent then jumbo’s FSU team.

Sounds like he’s going to retire if he steps down. I definitely wouldn’t want him at Miami never liked his offense, elite WRs wouldn’t want to come here.
Dont want him here either. But just curious would you take a a coach who couldnt sign elite wr if he could win 3 national titles regardless?

He will never be pushed out by the BOT. The Wexner’s are a family friend and they are the ones who brought him to Columbus.

At UF in 2nd year, Meyer said ND would be his dream job.
Kelly been at ND 8 years, can't win the Big one. Yet has the team trending upward.
OSU was a good stop while that fat guy was laying waste to ND.
ND,, yer King awaits.

Stranger things have happened..
