Patchen is a good example of perseverance. He is poised to have a big year. He will make it back.

Feeling for you and your son. My kid tore her PCL jr year. Came back Sr. Bigger, stronger, even faster. I’ll share what I told her at the start of rehab. Every obstacle is an opportunity and every stumbling block is a stepping stone. God bless, good luck🙌🏿

I’m so sorry man. I hope your son (and you for that matter) finds the strength and determination to persevere and understand that life will certainly throw him some positives as well. I know this timing was terrible for him as he seemed to really be having his mind and body rolling on the field. Thoughts, hopes, and prayers with you all.

I'm sorry to hear about your son. There are many cases where people recover from that injury, but even if he doesn't, work ethic is applied to all aspects of life.
 
Really hate to hear this. As hard as I’m sure it is physically, it’s gotta be just as hard, if not harder, mentally.

Was expecting Wayne to earn some quality PT this season and position himself to be a starter next year.

He’s obviously a tough kid and hopefully he can get himself back to 100%. I’ll make sure to keep him and the family in my prayers.

Best advice you can give him is that all of his goals are still there for him. Focus on getting that degree and rehabbing. ACLs are no fun, I’ve had one myself, but you can recover 100%. He just needs to stay positive, keep grinding, and get that degree.

Exactly the hard part is staying positive.
As a Dad it is very difficult to articulate your feelings, but to stay strong and supportive will pay off down the line as he rehabs.

He can now be the playbook Encyclopedia for the team, and hone his Coaching skills.

Ask the coaches if they could have Frank Gore give him a call. Frank tore both his ACLs and overcame extreme adversity to become a HOFer. I’ve torn both my ACL’s and it got to me. Don’t let it get to him. He’s got to fight through it. It’ll all be worth it in the end. You’re all in our prayers.

This is heartbreaking and I am truly sorry this has happened to your son a second time. I don't know that there are many words of encouragement for something like this. All anyone can do is show love and support. It will be difficult, but I am confident your son will weather this and come out a stronger man. Godspeed.
 
I hope he takes this running and kills rehab! He can be ready to go by next spring and should know the playbook backwards and forwards
 
Heartbreaking news. ****! Prayers and well-wishes on your rehab, Mr. Steed. You absolutely can work hard and still be The Guy for 2020. Would be awesome if they could arrange for Frank Gore to call the young man.

Really sorry my brother, my heart goes out to you and the whole family. I know the encouraging words are hard to come by right now but just love him up and let him know this too shall pass. Best of luck to him.

I cannot imagine the pain he might be going through emotionally and physically.
Tell him to keep his head up and his time hopefully will come to shine. Many of us see his potential and it may just take hard work and patience. for him to come back even stronger.
Both you and your son will be in our prayers. Hoping his rehab goes well.

Especially when our greatness came from moving speed forward and not moving slower height backward. That is more a golden thing. Very concerning.

So sorry to hear about this. He’s a fine young man and has the strength and mental fortitude to get through this and come back stronger than ever. One day at a time and keep grinding. You and your son and family are in my thoughts and prayers.
