Rumor going around that Steed...

My bad, senior and not junior year. Sad need news and some solid dad words there at the end of your post. I know there's little to be positive about right now, but this was the year for it to happen if there ever was one as those three seniors should eat most of the playing time. Hope the healing process goes well and he comes back next fall with a raging inferno inside to prove he can still do it.

Per his Instagram. Don’t look good.

The rumor is true. He was having a good spring and just got work yesterday with the ones. Broke my heart this morning when I got the call. It is what it is. I like Brooks to come in and handle business. This has been a tough break for my son and he is really not taking it well. He tore the same ACL that he tore his senior year in high school. He is a tough kid and knows he has the talent to play at a high level, just gonna be hard going through another rehab and season not on the field with his brothers. For me it’s very tough to handle because he is hurting and I can’t find the words to make him feel any better. I just told him that the storm can’t last forever and he will soon have to get up and get back to work.

hope he gets better soon, and keeps his spirits up!

wishing him the best

Sorry for your son brotha... stay strong and keep him motivated he can still make it

LB recruiting has been questionable the last few years. The whole trying to convert DEs into LB think is troublesome.

Steed, no doubt, he has LB talent. Hope the kid is alright.

Granted we really seem to be making striker a full time position and don’t need 3lb it is still troubling we have had 3 four year starters at the position, together since freshman and we have seemingly no depth or anyone down the pipe???

Steed is by far my favorite LB behind the seniors. Taking nothing away from the other guys. But you can just see that he has that instinct of LBs like Vilma, Beason, Spence, Perryman and Pinckney. Pops, tell your boy there’s nothing but daylight and the measure of his will to win preventing him from being our feature LB in 2020. And that’s worth struggling through another rehab. We’re praying for his speedy recovery!!

****, that’s messed up. And I ain’t talking about it just from the football angle. To have to go through all the rehab work on the same knee again, knowing that you’re not gonna be able to compete with your brothers, has to be mentally exhausting for the young man. He’s went through it before, he will get through it this time as well. Get well soon Steed.

Sir, I really feel bad, all prayers to the Most High for your son to have a speedy recovery and great health. Breaks my heart. Bur we know he will be alright.

The perfect HERD thread...a kid may have suffered a major injury and the HERD converts this into an opportunity to attack Diaz...you just can't make this **** up. I honestly thought the attacks wouldn't start until the season got underway.

For real, Earnest... really??? You picked a real dumb *** time to try to start some dumb *** ****. You really need to have several seats. No one is trying to blame El Jefe, so quit with your herd bull****.

Hate to hear this for Waynmon, I know he worked his *** off to get back on the field this year.

Nothing but support for you & your family, hope I everything works out for the best, I know this is going to be rough for him but he'll pull through.

Not sure how much it helps, but hopefully knowing the fans are wishing him luck and a speedy recovery is worth something.

My heart breaks for you. As a father, I can imagine the pain, but really only you and he feels the heartbreak.

Please feel all the love I and my family send, and know that this is NOT the end. I know he will regroup and move forward with strength and purpose. It may not feel like it now, but there will be brighter days ahead. It’s been done before and it can be done again.

All the love and God’s prayers from my family to yours.

Best advice you can give him is that all of his goals are still there for him. Focus on getting that degree and rehabbing. ACLs are no fun, I’ve had one myself, but you can recover 100%. He just needs to stay positive, keep grinding, and get that degree.
