Rueben Bain, Francis Mauigoa Tabbed Walter Camp First Team All-Americans

Miami defensive lineman Rueben Bain Jr. and offensive lineman Francis Mauigoa were named First Team All-Americans by the Walter Camp Football Foundation, the organization announced Friday night.

The honor marks the first time Miami has placed two players on the Walter Camp First Team since 2004 and recognizes the Hurricanes’ presence on both sides of the line of scrimmage.

The final cog in the wheel of Mario building a championship caliber roster was finally starting to get elite, difference-maker players. We’ve had very few of those the last 20 years, which is not to say we didn’t have some good players. The All-American lists this year show we’re back to getting those. Young guys like Toney, Fitzgerald, Pringle etc. look to keep that going.
