We all knew Blake James was the puppet of the board. They keep hiring coaches without doing a search n hired a coach without an AD. That tells me the AD has no power.

This guy and the rest of the administration needs to go. They don’t do their due diligence to do a coaching search. We’ve done this twice in a row where we don’t interview any coaches and just go right ahead and hire who they think can turn around the program. Rad should’ve been hired and he should’ve done the search for the next HC. Instead Rudy Fernandez gets on the Orange Bowl Boys podcasts and they hang on his nuts on how he hired a home run coach. Then they hire an AD. It’s incompetence. When will we hire someone that has no Florida ties and is an Xs n Os head coach. We need the best OC in the country, get Ruiz to be behind and support the program. Not give some ultimatum if we hire Mario, we will finally open the checkbooks. It’s all BS and we still have a bunch of amateurs running this program. Now we got a coach that he will purge the roster because he is stubborn and wants to do things his way and you got these morons backing them up. Next year it will be worse. *drops mic*

If you pay, you get a say. You don't like guys like Fernandez and Ruiz being involved in decisions? Go out into the world, earn hundreds of millions of dollars, build yourself some political capital, donate bigly to the U, and bump them off. That's ******* capitalism, baby. Pay to play.

Unless it's just pure jealousy or emotional ranting, I'm not sure why anyone expects anything different.

Rad has been around the block a few times. I seriously doubt he would have taken the Miami AD job if he thought Mario was a bad hire or if he didn’t have a lot of “power” to do what’s necessary to completely revamp the ENTIRE athletic department. Regardless, ALL AD’s answer to someone. NONE have total autonomy to do whatever the **** they please.

Stoops coached dbs at Miami, he doesn't even pretend to know offense. His last two ocs at UK were ex NFL guys.

The fact he's got a stud at running back, Rodriguez and a qb who's going to get drafted from UK is impressive. Skill players are wanting to play for him.

Mario? Skill guys are running from him.

I like Stoops and would have been happy with him as a coach but he’s also going into his 10th season at Kentucky. He didn’t have a winning season until his 4th year at 7-6. Early on his offenses were similar to Mario’s. Like him hopefully Mario adapts. If not and this still looks the same in year 3 then I’ll join in the Fire Mario brigade.
