Rousseau Penalty

We need his experience and in depth knowledge of our 2 page 8 play playbook in order to beat Savannah State.
Hey! Our playbook has more than 8 plays in it ok! It probably doesn’t exceed 20 but it is definitely more than 8...

I understand all the arguments w/ Rousseau and Harley. I do think both calls were complete BS. But I'm sorry at the end of the day it's situation football we got them pinned we're getting spanked. We need the ball and field position. The last thing we need is exactly what happened. As a coach I would have called off the punt blockers completely. Can't run the risk, especially how many penalties we already had.

You can’t jump over the wall or whatever they call it. That’s on the coaches for not teaching him that. Rightfully Called penalty.

The Harley penalty reaffirmed my belief that penalties should be reviewed for accuracy. He didn’t even touch the punter and the kickers/punters should be penalized for flopping like they do in soccer. Zero tolerance for flopping
Another reason to hate soccer.

You obviously have a hard time with reading comprehension.

So does our special teams corch apparently.

I'll try and type slowly and see if that helps. Here is the full rule. I will bold the part that the idiots are having a hard time with.

No defensive player, in an attempt to gain an advantage, may step, jump or stand on an opponent.

It is a foul if a defensive player moves forward and tries to block a field goal or try by leaving his feet and leaping into the plane directly above the frame of the body of an opponent.

It is not a foul if the player was aligned in a stationary position within one yard of the line of scrimmage when the ball was snapped.

It is a foul if a defensive player who is inside the tackle box tries to block a punt by leaving his feet and leaping into the plane directly above the frame of the body of an opponent.

It is not a foul if the player tries to block the punt by jumping straight up without attempting to leap over the opponent.

It is not a foul if a player leaps through or over the gap between players.

No defensive player, in an attempt to block, bat or catch a kick, may: 1. Step, jump or stand on a teammate. 2. Place a hand(s) on a teammate to get leverage for additional height. 3. Be picked up by a teammate, or be elevated, propelled or pushed.

Pay special attention to the bolded part!!!!!

Fk my life I should be getting paid to give people educations like this.

@Cane Dynasty you are a ***aloon for being right

Now jerkface - watch the **** play again and see where the plane was of the player who he went over when he left the ground. The player then stepped into Greg and flipped him. I hate educating stupid people who think they are smart. Get out of here with your attitude.

A little more help for your comprehension of the rule! I bolded it for you this time.

The NCAA expanded the rule in 2017 to penalize players whether they landed on an opponent or not. Previously, a clean jump wasn’t a penalty.
In the past, players could run toward the line of scrimmage and try to jump over blockers to swat away a field goal, and it could be well within the rules. A play wasn’t a leaping foul if the defender in question reached the line of scrimmage before he jumped, or if an offensive player “initiated contact” against the player who jumped. And the leaping rule didn’t apply to linemen who were stationary at the time of the snap.

And the actual rule not paraphrased. You understand now? He did not try to leap over the opponent. Simple. I discussed with actual NCAA refs before my first post, so know your audience grasshopper. PS - you are now the student and I accept checks.

Leverage and Leaping ARTICLE 11. a. No defensive player, in an attempt to gain an advantage, may step, jump or stand on an opponent. b. It is a foul if a defensive player who runs forward from beyond the neutral zone leaps or hurdles in an obvious attempt to block a field goal or try. It is not a foul if the player was aligned in a stationary position within one yard of the line of scrimmage when the ball was snapped. c. It is a foul if a defensive player who is inside the tackle box tries to block a punt by leaving his feet in an attempt to leap directly over an opponent. 1. It is not a foul if the player tries to block the punt by jumping straight up without attempting to leap over the opponent. 2. It is not a foul if a player attempts to leap through or over the gap between players. d. No defensive player, in an attempt to block, bat or catch a kick, may: 1. Step, jump or stand on a teammate. 2. Place a hand(s) on a teammate to get leverage for additional height. 3. Be picked up by a teammate, or be elevated, propelled or pushed.

I’m still out of my mind at the penalty they called on GR15. What the in actual **** did he do? And Harley’s running into the punter was a joke. He took the right angle. They protect kickers and punters way too much, it’s football you are gonna get hit.

Obviously Miami has bigger problems like Rosier, tackling, and Feagles but who knows Miami could have scored to end the half.
Score at the end of the half? With MalStink at Qb? I highly doubt it! I know I’m beating a dead horse here but I really gave him a chance to show me and All Cane Nation that he improved and he just showed that I’ve been right about him all along! And it was amazing and down right frustrating how so many Canes fans were such @ssholes when something was said about this POS player. Where are the Malik lovers, now that he’s no longer that “undefeated” Qb?!? #Fock Malik! #Fock CMR! #Fock Feagles!

Rousseau jumped up to block the kick and was hit low and went over the guy, he didn't jump or try to jump over the blockers.
