Rousseau done for season...

So they are technically the same thing yet you come in here and try to draw some distinction that doesn’t exist just to start a ridiculous argument that you end up losing. Good stuff.
Because there is a distinction dumbass. Fractured bone is broad because that branches off into 7 variations.

A green stick fracture which is an incomplete break where the bone is not broken clean.

A transverse fracture which is essentially a crack or simple break on the bone

A spiral fracture which usually happen it spirals around the bone and is common in twisting injuries

An Oblique fracture which is a diagonal break or crack on the bone

A Compression fracture which is when you essentially crush your bone to pieces.

A Comuttied fracture - which is a break in 3 or more pieces and fragments around the bone.

And a Segmental Fracture where the same bone is broken in two places and essentially creates a bone spur floating around the site of injury.

All require different time tables of recovery. A “broken” ankle are usually the last three type of fractures and the first because they require the longest time tables.

The difference between broken and fracture is.

Your mom tells you it's broken.

Your doctor tells you it's fractured.

Just. Stop.

Doctor here.... We typically refer to any break in a bone as a fracture. The term is used interchangeably in medical lingo.

I think the problem is him correcting the dude and acting like he's an idiot for saying break, as if this was some medical blog.

ZBrod: You're a troll, six posts, GTFO

In all seriousness, I knew where this was going to go after he said it isn't broken, it's a fracture. I'm just glad I wasn't the one who had to go there with him and could just sit back and watch it all unfold.

So all I care about is, what is the prospect for his return in the spring, will he have full mobility? What kind of surgery is it? Was it a severe break? Just how serious is it?

I’m just going to leave your post stand exactly where it is.

No response is needed.

Then you didn’t break your ankle. A broken ankle requires one or more bones to completely break.

Ankle Fractures (Broken Ankle) - OrthoInfo - AAOS

Here it is: A broken ankle is also known as an ankle "fracture." This means that one or more of the bones that make up the ankle joint are broken.

A fracture ranges in this: A fractured ankle can range from a simple break in one bone, which may not stop you from walking, to several fractures, which forces your ankle out of place and may require that you not put weight on it for a few months.

Like I said - Fracture is a broad term and it ranges.

Stop pretending you know what you’re talking about.

Dude, I severely BROKE my ankle 100% and walked on it about 100 yards. Needed surgery, screws...the whole 9. I actually heard my ankle snap. You’re wrong

No difference between a break and fracture. This is coming from a person that went through it
